I looked at him and my heart started beat.

Thump Thump Thump.
His lips touched mine and the thumping stopped; then my head started up.
'Stop it, Max, you are engaged?!' I thought over and over again.
I broke the kiss and looked down. I touched my lips and realized that I had done it.. I kissed another
guy.
"That was nice." He said.
I replied with silence...
Does he not comprehend what just happened??
"Nathaniel... what about Sadie??" I asked.
"What do you mean...??" Nathaniel asked standing up.
"You are engaged to Sadie." I said.
"I know, it was just a harmless kiss though, she'll never find out." He said.
"She's my friend." I said.
"Yes I am aware of that, Max." Nathaniel said.
"Don't you love her??" I asked.
He gave me a serious look and looked down at the floor..
"Enough said... I'm leaving." I said.
I headed out of the room and down the hall.
I walked towards Sadie's door... the one place I know Nathaniel wouldn't go after what just
happened...
I finally reached the door and set my hand on the knob and was about to turn it until I felt a hand on
my shoulder.
"Maxine." Ty's voice said behind me.
I turned around praying to God that my eyes weren't still blood shot.
"Well I heard about the turning... I would like to meet with you and Jayce in my office in an hour
please." Ty said.
"Of course." I replied.
"See you then." Ty said smiling.

He walked away and I turned the knob.
"Sadie??" I asked as I swung the wood door open.
"Hey deary." She said as I shut the door closed.
"Sadie..." I sighed.
"What's wrong??, you look awful." She said getting up and walking over to me.
"I was just turned like ten minutes ago." I said starting to tear again.
"Oh my God... Are you kidding me??" She asked.
"No of course not." I said.
"Oh my Gosh... Are you alright??" She asked frantically.
"Yeah I guess..." I said.
"Well did it hurt... just to know, you know..??" She asked.
"Yeah...not as bad as you think though." I said.
"Oh that's good.. " She sighed.
"Yes I agree. I would have came sooner but Nathaniel came to comfort me." I said.
"Really, that's good, what did he say??" Sadie asked.
"The average thing a guy says to make ya feel better." I said biting my lower lip.
