Chapter 1

         The day they got their powers
~Christine's POV~
Me and my best friend Alexis decided to go on a road trip to the beach. When we finally got there the sun was shinning and the air was amazing feeling. I don't really like wearing bikinis in public, well I'm nineteen years old but whatever. I just wear shirt over my bikini for modesty. Alexis is twenty-two years old so she's just a little bit older but who cares?  We parked the car and grab our umbrella and towels. We found a nice place where no one is around. I just lay in the sun when Ally came over yelling " Oh my gosh Chris you got to come and swim the water is amazing!" she tells me. " I don't know Ally I don't feel like it right now?" I say with hesitation " Come on Chris you're being so boring!" " Ok, ok fine" I finally gave in. I take my cover up and run into the water, she is right the water feels amazing. We spent at least a hour or two just diving and splashing each other. Alexis found this really pretty star fish we just had to keep, but that's before it happened. Ally screamed while something pulled her under the water. I rush over to her and right as I'm there something pulled me with her. I screamed for help but no one heard me but I still do. I've been under the water longer enough that I feel like  I'm going to lose consciousness, and I was right, I'm about to when I feel a scourge of electric through my body, then I'm out like a light .

I wake up on the sand, the sun is shinning right in my eyes. When I finally gain some sense I get up and immediately try to find Ally. I look around everywhere and can't find her. That's when I see her in the water floating. I'm really scared to go back into the water after what just happened but I can't leave her, so push through it and run back into the water. It got a lot colder since the last time we went in. when I get to her she goes invisible? I jump back frightened a little but then she goes back to normal. I don't bother to think about it I just try to get her and leave. We're finally on the sand again and I just lay there for a second. I get up and realized that she is not conscious. How dumb am I? I didn't even notice that! I check her pulse, it's actually not bad but she is really cold even though the sun is shinning bright. I grab the towel and cover with it. No one is around so I don't have help. I get her up and lay her in our car the she seems to be out of it.  get into the car and look at the time. 12:30, wow we spent a while here, I look back and Ally is still asleep so I just grab the keys and lock the door because I need to go get our bags down at the beach. I'm half way to our stuff when I see someone grabbing our stuff. I yell at him and he throws something at me. I put my arm's up and somehow a shield of ice blocks my face where I held my arms up. Whatever he throw bounced right off of it. I look at my hand and a little bit of frosty appears, it just gets bigger, it become a snowball. I pass it back and forth in my hand and it turns into ice, I quickly throw it at him and it hits him in the temple, he falls down and I go over and make sure he is ok. He seems to be  ok so  I grab our stuff and sprint back to my car. when I get in the car Ally seems to be waking up. I don't do anything except sit there and breath heavy because of what just went on. "How did this happen?" I ask myself. " What did you say?" Alexis just asked me. " Hey, are you ok??", " you started to worry me to death!" I jump in the back to hug her. " I'm fine, just a little light headed." She told me. " Ok well I think we need to go home, a lot happened" I get back into the driver's seat and Ally jumps in the passenger seat and I start the car and drive home thinking about what all happened.
