Chapter 21

I woke up panicking, something was rapped around me and holding me down,enabling me to move at all. From just waking up from a bad dream of something eating me alive, I was losing my breath. I thrusted around until I hit something soft but hard ,then I hear "ouch!".
Damn it I forgot that Max was sleeping with me. I whisper "sorry, I forgot that you were still here and I had a bad dream " Max sleepy smiles "it's okay Kat-Nip"I roll my eyes all the moments that I've had with him have almost been so cliché it's getting old,real fast.Max pulls me tight in his arms and I snuggle into him, I sigh comfortably and relax taking in my morning Prince Charming. Then Max gets up and stretches and let's out a big yawn, then he says "come on Kat-Nip lets get some breakfast " I buried my face into my pillow, then Max ruffled my dirty blonde hair making it a wild blonde mess,I swat his hand away"not the hair dude,not the hair".Max crawls out of my bed and starts walking towards my door "Max no ! You have to wait my mom will kill the both of us if she finds out,let me get up" he stops and look back at me with anxious eyes "I have to pee though" he whines , I give him a sarcastic pouty face "just hold it will ya while I check for my mom ,please" he rolls eyes and crosses his arms , I then stand up and rub my eyes. "Go in the closet just in case if she comes in" I say as I push Max into my small closet and throw a blanket over his head,doing my best to hide him from my mother.

I sneak down stairs and my footsteps echo , I search around the rooms and the rest of the house. I look outside to see if my mother's car is still here and it's gone.

Praise the old mighty gods for getting rid of my mother and sending down a Greek god turned to mortal.

I dart back upstairs to see Max fully dressed in his own clothes and petting my cat. "Where did you get your clothes from?" Max looks at me like I just ask one of the dumbest questions he has ever heard "the store,duh", I roll my eyes "HOW did you get your clothes?" "Well you see Kat-Nip NORMAL people go to the store and BUY clothes" I huff and cross my arms "forget it,your a pain-" "in my ass"Max finishes. I nod at him in amusement. "Ahh you get me" I coo,Max chuckles and throws a pillow at me "go get dressed Kat-Nip we got somewhere to be and places to go. Just grab the first thing you see, and don't worry about makeup.Your still stunning without it" I sigh and throw my dirty blonde locks of a mess into a very messy but cute bun. Then I put on long sweater that goes to my thighs,then I put on some shorts, I walk out and the Max says in a serious but amused tone "Kat-Nip you know you can't go out in public without any pants right" I roll my eyes and flip up my shirt sassily to show him I have pants on and then look at him with a agitated look. " I'm going to put on makeup.I don't care what you say,its not because of insecurities,cause I know you've seen we worse" I say with determination,the Max looks at me with a very unconvinced look "Max,makeup is like war paint for girls,okay.Just go ahead and get breakfast at the coffee shop,I'll meet you there",I assure him,but also testing him. Max shrugs and starts to walk downstairs "fine",my mouth drops,wow I know this sounds like probably really ridiculous,but I thought he would wait for me I guess not . He's keeping me on my toes with depending or expecting people to do something. I whip back to the bathroom to paint my face.

I finish with a sharp cat eye and one more coat of mascara.

I walk downstairs and I follow the smell filling my nose of sizzling goodness.

"Where did you learn how to cook?" I ask,obviously impressed, I've never seen a boy his age ever cook or any guy in general,it was always the women ,well except my dad of course.Max replies nonchalantly "My mom taught me" I then coo "aww are you little momma's boy" Max's face turns bright red and I can't help ,but giggle at his embarrassment,then I change the subject quickly as I don't want him to feel to uncomfortable "where did you get this stuff anyways? Do you have like super speed or traveling powers?" then I see humor twinkle in Max's brilliant sea green eyes " well Kat-Nip  I don't have those powers,but I do have the powers of being  totally sexy and hot "Max has a stupid smirk and puts his hands on his head ,raises one sly eyebrow and swings his hips slightly ,posing like a absolute unrealistic model that you see in American Eagle Magazines.
