Logan
"Logan, you're failing. It's senior year and you need to get your act together!" my mom screams at me.
What's the point, if I'll still be a disappointment to my assholes of parents. Nothing I do is good enough for them.
Don't get me wrong, I used to be that perfect student who couldn't wait to bring the A home to show his parents.
That all changed when mom found out that dad had a secret child with the fucking maid.
Joey is the child mom never had. Everything I did, Joey could do better.
I got A and B honor roll.
Joey got straight A's.
I got in the spelling bee.
Joey won the spelling bee.
You see the vicious cycle?
Joey beat me at being good.
No matter how hard I tried, Joey beat me at everything. So I did the one thing that Joey could never beat me at.
Being Bad.
Something I excelled at, something Joey couldn't even dare to try.
I don't even know how Joey got accepted by mom, him being dad's secret love child.
To me, Joey is just a sign of the plate of disrespect dad hand to mom.
But to mom, I'm the world's First Class Asshole.
"Logan, are you even listening to me?!" she screams.
"Sure if that's what you want."
"Why are you being sarcastic with me?"
"I'm not."
"WHY CANT YOU JUST BE A GOOD SON FOR ONCE!"
"Like Joey? Nah. He's not even your son, he's the love child of your cheating husband. You don't even know if you have a disease from that bastard but you're screaming at me to be a better son. Every time you look at Joey you don't see his betrayal? But you see my 'sarcasm'? Alright. If I don't come back tonight don't worry about me."
Tears start to well up in her eyes, but I don't but I don't care anymore.
I picked up my keys and walked out the door.
I'm hungry.

I take my bike down the road, speeding as fast as I can. I don't even know where I'm going.
I can feel the wind rushing into my ears, crashing into my ear drums. The incredible speed I'm going at makes the adrenaline sing through my veins.
I love it.
The rush, the blood pounding in my head. I relish the feeling for as long as I can, not wanting to let go.

It all happened so quickly.
First, I was speeding down the boulevard, my adrenaline making me feel 10 feet off the ground.
Suddenly, it felt like a brick wall crashed into me and I went right through it.
I could feel myself drifting through the air, and massive pains shooting in my head. I couldn't help but scream, I didn't know what the fuck was going on.
Just like that, I felt myself crash into pavement. I felt blood oozing from my head and my arm felt like shattered glass had been shoved into with force.
My mind was slipping in and out of consciousness.
This is how you will die, I thought. Nobody will miss you, anyway.
Those thoughts contented me, and I started to close my eyes.
I heard footsteps running toward my motionless body. I didn't care. I didn't even know what happened to me. Even though I didn't have a choice, I was happy I was dying.
Finally dying.
Before I closed my eyes for what I named the last time, a pair of shimmery brown eyes focused on mine.
They said, "Hold on, I'm getting you help. Whatever you do, don't give up. Don't give up, Logan"
Then I closed my eyes, and drifted off into limbo.
