DLSD took place before ep. 5. This is after!
Four black shapes dashed through the night. The moon shone and the stars glowed in the night sky. The Blaze Rods, Aiden, Maya, Gill and his little sister Becky, were in pursuit of another strange ancient temple. Ever since their defeat in Sky City, the group had decided they would still adventure, but never try threaten or compete with Jess and her friends again. "OK, the place is just up ahead!" Aiden nodded, "It's just surrounded by those mobs and that... lake..." he trailed off. "So what if we get a little wet? I'm ready to whup some ancient butt!" Becky said eagerly. She had blonde bouncy hair in a ponytail, and she wore a blue shirt under her jacket. "Whoa, hey tiger. This is your first mission. Let the experts show you how it's done!" Maya quickly jumped out and started wiping out monsters with her sword. "Blaze Rods, let's get adventurous!" Aiden cried and everyone cheered "Adventure!", then started killing. In a few minutes, every monster was dead. "Now, we just have to swim across." Gill pointed at the blue lake ahead. Him and Becky jumped in, but Maya noticed Aiden looking nervous. "What's up, dude?" she asked. "Er.. don't laugh at me, but I have a small fear of the water..." Aiden admitted. "That's OK! I'll help you across." Maya waded in, then took her friend's hand. She supported his waist and swam across, Aiden holding onto her like his life depended on it. Maya was a very strong swimmer! Eventually they reached the shoreline."C'mon!" Becky ran inside the temple, followed by the others. They entered a long hallway, decorated with stained glass and glowstone. "Imagine what Lukas would say if he were here!" Gill laughed. "He'd probably be freaking out about how awesome this place looks! Good times." Maya smiled. It was no doubt Lukas was a huge fan of architecture. Suddenly a rattling could be heard in the walls. "Duck!" Becky cried and everyone got down as fire charges shot out of dispensers. "Can you disable it?" Maya asked. "I'll try!" Becky drew her bow, and aimed for a button on the other end of the hall. She shot her arrow and it pressed the button, causing the dispensers to switch off. "Nice one, sis!" Gill congratulated, then they set off again.
Eventually, they found themselves in a huge chamber. The walls were blue stone with turquoise crystal set in. At the very centre of the chamber, a small pool had a rock sticking out of it. A small pink rod and a turquoise axe rested on it. "Bingo! Found the treasure!" said Aiden. Becky quickly jumped over and removed the rod. "What's this thing supposed to do?" she asked. Gill went and picked up the axe. "Don't know, really. But this is cool!" he admired the weapon. But suddenly the rod started to vibrate. "Er... bro, what's happening?!" Becky began to panic. Then the axe started as well. "Aiden! Maya! Help us out!" Gill just managed to say before the two disintegrated. Aiden and Maya just stared in shock. The artifacts dropped to the ground. "What... just happened?!" Maya asked. A cold laugh made the two of them look behind them. Their shadows... had eyes! They detached from their owners and drew shadow swords. Aiden slashed at one with his own sword, but it went straight through. "Run!" Maya cried and the two friends took to their heels. "I never thought I'd be running from my own shadow!" Aiden gasped. "Uh, dude, they're getting bigger!" Maya watched as the black shapes grew and sprouted wings. Maya's shadow stared right at her and laughed. "Soon! Soon I will have my revenge!" it cackled it a female voice. "Revenge? On who?" Maya asked. The shadow just laughed and chased them more. Aiden glanced at the axe and rod. "It's worth a shot!" he nodded and took the axe. He sliced it at the shadow and it disappeared. Aiden defeated the second shadow and turned to Maya. "We need help! What was that thing?!" he panted. "I don't know! But I don't want to meet one ever again!" Maya replied. Then the two realised Aiden wasn't vaporising. "Weird. Do you think Gill and Becky just set off a trap?" he suggested. "Maybe. Listen, we'd better go find someone who can explain this." Maya picked up the pink rod. "What's this supposed to do, anyway?" she asked. Suddenly lightning exploded from it. "Whoa, jeez! Aiden, help!" Maya cried as the bolts spewed out. "I got ya!" Aiden tried to hold Maya still, but scorching burns raged in his hands when he touched her. "Ow!" he gasped. "Er... stop!" Maya commanded, and the electricity stopped. Aiden and Maya exchanged nervous glances.
"We need the Order of the Stone!" Aiden declared.
