"How could Ava do that? She wouldn't ever!" Aiden insisted, coming from the roof with Maya. Ava pretended to look upset. "How could you ever say that about me?! I'd never do something as awful!" she said innocently. Reuben tried to go for her, but Lukas held him back. "Look Reuben, I trust you and I want to believe you, but we need proper evidence before we can throw accusations." Jess sighed. Reuben glared at Ava, but obeyed his mother. Ava just smirked to herself, infuriating him more. "Hey Aiden, bro, can I talk to you for a second?" she asked. He nodded and went with her. She led him outside of the party.
"So, how is your date with your friend Maya?" she asked. "It's going brilliant! I almost freaking kissed her!" Aiden replied, going red slightly at the thought. Then Ava turned to him. "So, you defeated Ender, a dragon girl?" she asked. "Yeah. She was really creepy with her stabbing and stalking. I'm glad she's gone now." Aiden grinned. Ava bit her lip. "I love ya bro, you know that?" she threw her arms around his neck. Aiden then remembered how much she had missed his sister. But then she did something weird. Her hand started to glow purple, and suddenly Aiden found it difficult to breath. Both of Ava's hands were around his neck, and she was strangling him. She lifted him off his feet and kept on squeezing. Aiden struggled, but he couldn't break free. Ava turned into Ender. "Now let's see your pathetic fighting this time!" she cackled.
"Aiden? Where are you?" but just at that moment, Maya came out of the party. She saw what Ender was doing to her love. "No! Stop it!" she cried, and tried to fire water at Ender. But then Aiden gave her one last look. "I love you..." he just managed to gasp before his body collapsed on the ground. Ender smirked, then held her hand over him. The powers of the Son of Adventure began to flow through her, and she became even more powerful than ever. Maya didn't care about her. She held Aiden's head to her chest. "Please don't leave Aiden! I didn't even get to kiss you yet! Please..." she began to cry softly. But it was no use. Aiden was dead, and she couldn't do anything about it.
"Maya! Aiden! We heard a noise!" Jesse and the others gasped when she saw what had happened. Ender had a blade ready to stab Maya, but the girl didn't care. She had a broken heart, nothing else mattered. She didn't notice that every attack Ender threw at her bounced back like it was hitting a shield. Maya just cried for Aiden, the way Jess had for Lukas what seemed like ages ago. "I'm sorry I couldn't save you..." Maya sighed sorrowfully. Ender screeched in frustration. Reuben bravely tried to shift, but he was too weak. The Order got out their powers and were about to fight, but just then another blast stunned them all. Gil brought his hand back guiltily. Maya's face turned to rage. "You were working with Ender this whole time?!" she cried. Gil looked down at the ground. He didn't feel good upsetting Maya, but his sister's life was at stake. If he didn't do this, then she would be killed. It honestly gave a bit of satisfaction killing Aiden. He had treated them badly when conquering Sky City. It was only right. Maya stood up. All of her power surged into her two hands. The river that flowed nearby stirred. "You both are in for a bad time!" Maya began to use her powers to avenge her love. She flung entire streams and used her spells on them, but they defended successfully. "I have what I came for. Take the twins, but leave the rest! I'll deal with you later!" Ender growled at Maya. They both disappeared. Maya shook the others awake. But the twins were already gone, Ender had kidnapped them. "What? What happened?" Axel muttered. "Aiden's... gone." Maya felt more tears. She couldn't believe it even though she had seen it. After what had happened before, it seemed like nothing that Ender had thrown at them could kill them. Now, Aiden was gone, just like that. It was devastating. The Order didn't really process themselves until they saw Aiden now.
But suddenly Pegasus came down, along with other stardust creatures. They saw their master had fallen, and they stood there. Pegasus whinnied in sadness, and every creature made a sound for Aiden. Maya just watched. She had calmed down rage-wise, but her sorrow wouldn't heal for a long time.
Unless she got him back.
But that was impossible, wasn't it?
Right?
Maya then began laughing hysterically. She couldn't believe it. Ender had taken her true love away from her, just like that. Before she had a nervous breakdown, Lukas gave her a hug with everyone else. Maya then cried crazily. After seeing everything, Ivor went over to them. "Everyone, it's time you knew something." he sighed, the First Order behind him. "What is it?" Olivia asked. "Well, it's about Ender..." Ivor began. Maya then said a swear about Ender. "Calm down Maya! That will only hurt you more!" Ivor assured. Wait, how did he know? "Listen, do you know which Child Ender is?" Ivor enquired. "Er, no?" Jesse replied. "Well, she's the Daughter of Shadow. And... my own daughter..." Ivor said sadly. Everyone's eyes widened. "What?!" they all gasped. "Look, I'll tell you all about it if you come inside. It's a lot to process." Ivor led them inside.
How on Overworld could he be related to Ender?!
