XD I ruined my own Aidya moment... anyway thanks for 1k reads!
"You know, you two aren't bad singers!" Olivia complemented when they were all around the fire. In order to keep their spirits up, they decided to sing a bit. "Heh, thanks. I don't mind doing it in a group, but if I'm on my own in public it's a disaster!" Maya laughed. She shivered a bit under the blanket she had, even though she was next to a fire. The water incident had given her and Aiden the chills for a while. And she still couldn't believe Aiden's story about Ava. It must had been terrible to lose a sibling like that. Aiden had a blanket too, but he was still cold as well. He wasn't sure if he had exactly faced his fear, because Maya was there with him, but did it matter? He was through and his Child outfit would return during the battle with Ender, so that was reassuring. He wondered what Maya would look like in her outfit. She was confirmed to be one of the few Children that could converse with spirits, much like Jesse. Her hair was plastered to her, but she still looked amazingly beautiful to Aiden.
When it was morning and everyone was washed and dressed, its was time for Maya. "Good luck! And if things get a bit hectic, I'll be there for you!" Aiden assured. Maya smiled at him and stepped into a pink door with a blue raindrop. It wasn't so bad at first, but then weren't they all? Just then Aiden stepped in. "Oh, and I forgot to tell you something!" he began, but Maya frowned when she noticed something. Was that... blood on his trousers?! Maya peeked back through the door. She stifled a scream when she saw the bodies of the others. "Heh, the thing is, I figured out I can absorb powers like Ender, and who could resist all those Children at once?" he drew his sword, which was stained red. "Aiden, what are you doing...?!" Maya asked cautiously. "Do you want to join me? When Ender is gone and we find the other Blaze Rods, we can split the world together! Also, Maya, did I ever tell you that you look like an angel?" Aiden tried to stroke her hair, which freaked her out. Thinking fast, Maya kicked him between the legs and shoved him on the ground. "Then I guess I'll have to kill you!" Aiden got up and they began to duel with their swords. "Aiden, I know this isn't you! This isn't happening!" Maya's worse fear was before her very eyes.
Her friend from childhood becoming a psychopath.
Suddenly the words came to her. She just did it on instinct, not really thinking, adrenaline keeping her in the now.
"Shadow, magic, moon and sun,
Serve me until my days are done!
Bring back the sanity my friend has lost,
Even if I have to pay a cost!"
Maya's hands glowed with a brilliant blue light and suddenly everything was lit up. The blast knocked down Maya out cold, and Aiden disappeared. Then the real Aiden and the others came in, and gasped when they saw her. "She's used spells. She's clearly more powerful than we think." Leo said, slightly surprised. Maya groaned as Aiden picked her up bridal-style. Her jacket and orange Endercon T-shirt had turned into a beautiful gown down to her ankles. The skirt was blue and the top a shell pink. A small gold tiara studded with a blue gem rested on her head. She was stunning, but fatigue had caused her to faint. "She thought it was real. She tried to save her friend even if it caused her injury." Leo continued. "Will she be alright?" Petra asked. "She'll be fine. But Lukas and Aiden, come with me." Leo urged and the two boys followed. They went down a huge hall filled with books and scrolls. "Tell me, when did you meet your friend?" Leo asked. "Well, it was kinda an eventful day..." Lukas shuddered at the memory. "Explain." Leo insisted. He wasn't going to back down. Lukas sighed. He remembered it.
Her screaming.
The spiders.
The zombies.
The dark.
Him.
"I really don't want to say... it's a little upsetting..." Lukas said nervously. Leo stared deep into his blue eyes. "Tell me. Her life could depend on it." he said firmly. Lukas found himself obeying. He then recalled his first encounter with Herobrine."Maya was only nine, like us. A small kid with a normal life, and a good family. But then one fatal day she decided to go mining. It was just me and Aiden, we hadn't met Gil or Becky yet. Maya spotted lapis and tried to get it, but she had to cross some lava to get to it. Maya almost reached them because she nearly had enough blocks. But she leaned too far in. Maya tripped and fell. She nearly would have died if we hadn't heard her screaming. Aiden just managed to catch Maya in time, and she was safe. But the white eyes appeared in the lava, and a screech ran across the cave. Herobrine rised from the bubbling liquid. "No! You were supposed to die! If you refuse to go, then I'll take you myself!". And then he attacked us. Spiders, zombies, skeletons, we barely made it out with our own lives. We just managed to escape. Maya was so scared that she refused to mine for months! Eventually we became friends and she hung around with us as an Ocelot. She was a really talented builder too. But how come her powers are only starting now?" Lukas asked curiously. "It's because she needed them. It will happen to you all. What I'm more concerned about is the damage she could do to herself. Enough tests! You need to prepare!" Leo declared. "But what about the twins and their tests?" Lukas objected. "There's no time. Ender will be at her strongest soon." Leo said firmly.
They didn't know a blue wolf had been watching them.
