"It's all my fault," Bella whisper, tears in her eyes. I gave her hand a little squeeze. I looked at Abigail in the hospital bed, her face paler than normal, her lips chapped and dried tear stains on her cheeks. She looked like a ghost. This was all my fault... I should've known better. How could I be such an idiot? Right now Charlie and Renee were sat by her side.

"I'm getting a drink, want anything?" Charlie asked, getting up from his seat. Renee shook her head, with that Charlie walked off.

"It's not your fault Bella, it's mine. I should've known this would happen," I said, putting my head in my hands.

I stood up after a while, I walked out I look around the waiting room. My eyes caught onto Jacobs, he looked at me with fear. I walked towards him and say down next to him, he quickly moved away from me. I couldn't help but chuckle.

"You're probably wondering what happened back there," I paused.

"Yep," he muttered.

"And I will explain, outside" I stood up and walked towards the front entrance of the hospital, I heard his footsteps behind me. When we were outside I stopped in front of him. "Now, you can't tell anyone or bring this up ever," I paused, "my family and I are vampires, the man you were fighting, he was a vampire."

He looked at me like he was processing everything I had just said.

"That's crazy!" he laughed sarcastically.

When he didn't see a smile on my face he stopped laughing.

"Wait, your being for real?" He asked, I nodded.

"Look, I know this is hard to believe but it's the truth," I said. He looked at me and shook his head, sucking his lip in he scoffed.

"This is madness, this whole thing is messed up," he said, walking past me and back into the hospital.

I fluttered my eyes open, I looked around. I was in the hospital, I had a drip beside me, I had something clamped on my finger to get my pulse. I looked beside me and saw a smiling Renee and Charlie, "sweetie!" Renee smiled.

I looked at Charlie, then back at Renee, "hey," I croaked, "what happened?"

Renee looked at Charlie then back to me. "You fell down the stairs, you went straight through a window and broke your leg and cut your side pretty deeply," she explained.

Memories of last night flooded through my mind. I swallowed and nodded, holding the tears back. "Right, clumsy me..." I said.

"Mom can I talk to Abby alone for a minute?" Bella asked.

"Of course" she said, planting a kiss on my forehead before she walked out.

Bella sat down beside me, tears were in her eyes, I focused my eyes on the door. I couldn't look at her let alone speak to her. "Abs, I'm-I'm so sorry" she croaked.

I focused my eyes on her, "I forgive you" I sniffled, wiping the tears that had fallen away. "But if you hurt me again, I'll never ever forgive you again," she nodded and leaned forward, gently hugging me.

After pulling away Jacob walked through the door, I smiled as he sat down beside me. "Thank you for your help," I whispered. Bella walked out and left us in the room alone to talk.

"It's okay," he smiled back. "I don't like that Edward guy," he scoffed.

"Why?" I giggled.

"He claims to be something that doesn't exist," he chuckled, "and plus he's to mysterious."

I couldn't help but giggle, "right."

"Are you going to prom?" He asked.

"Nope! I'm going to stay home and chill," I sighed. I really wanted to go to prom but alas I'm to scared, the red head vampire and James were very close and well she could be watching. I may be a bit paranoid but I'm taking the safer option here.

"Okay," Jacob smiled, we both looked up at the door as Carlisle walked in.

"Abby, how are you feeling?" Carlisle asked.

"I'm good," I said.

"Jacob can you leave us alone?" He asked, Jacob hesitated and looked at me with worried eyes. I nodded saying it was okay to go, he smiled slightly and walked out.

"What's up?" I asked.

"Well I wanted to tell you that, when James bit you. You completely healed, the venom spread throughout your body." He said.

"And that means?" I frowned.

"What's confusing me is that you are not like us, you're still human," he frowned.

"So I'm in the all clear?" I said.

"I don't know, you may want to take things easy," he said.

"Okay, thank you Carlisle for everything," I smiled.

"No worries," he smiled back before walking back out.

I lay looking at the ceiling, thoughts clouded my mind. I came to Forks for a new start, away from my crazy ex boyfriend, away from all the drama only to be thrown into more drama, vampire drama. Great! Just what I wanted!

I sighed and continued staring at the ceiling not even looking a whoever came into the room, "what now greeting?" I heard Edward chuckle. I slowly averted my eyes to him.

"Greetings," I said sarcastically.

"That's better," he smiled and sat beside me.

"Jacob doesn't like you," I said.

"Yeah I know, I heard," he said back.

"What did you say?" I asked.

"I explained what happened before, he didn't believe it, he thought I was crazy" he smiled.

I giggled and shook my head, "yeah well.. Thanks."

"You shouldn't be thanking me Abby?" He paused.

"Why?" I frowned.

"Because I kept Bella safe and not you, I should've realised what he was thinking!" He put his head in his hands.

"Edward, it's okay. I'm good now," I smiled.

"No it's not," he mumbled.

"Edward look at me," he looked up, "I'm fine!"

He sighed and stood up, he paced back and forth. "How aren't you like us?" He mumbled.

"What?" I frowned.

"The venom spread, everywhere and yet you're still human. How?" He frowned looking at me.

"How am I meant to know?" I shrugged my shoulders.

The rest of the day, I was bombarded with questions from all the Cullen's, what was I? How am I not a vampire. How am I meant to know what was happening to me?! I could take all of the questions, so I asked if they could leave me alone. So right no I was laying staring at the ceiling again, questioning what was happening.

"Abby?" I heard a nurse say my name.

"Yes?" I looked at her.

"Your dad is here to take you home," she smiled and wheeled in a wheelchair. I only then realised that I had a cast on my leg. Charlie walked in and placed me in the wheelchair and took me to the police cruiser, when we were in he made dad jokes, I really didn't listen my mind taking me to the memories of what happened before.

When we arrived home, Charlie helped me into the house and set me on the lounge, "thank you dad," I smiled as he placed me on the lounge.

He leaned down and planted a kiss on my forehead, "no problem Abby."

The rest of the day I didn't move from the couch, all I really did was flick through all of the channels until I found something semi interesting.
