Luca stood up on his bed and looked at Lovino with a huge smile. "Wait a second!" He jumped off his bed and ran into his closet of toys, that he accumulated over time, trying to find something. "You okay in there?" Lovino asked with a smile, knowing he stroke something with Luca. "I'm okay. I can find things on my own."
"What are you looking for?"
"Something." Luca replied his voice a little strained, taking out certain toys to find the thing he was looking for. "Aha!" He tried to reach for a large, worn-out brown box. Lovino stood up from the bean bag chair and helped Luca bring the box down. "Oh, is this what you wanted?"
"Yeah! Just put it down." Luca instructed, pointed to a spot on his carpet just a few steps in front of him. Lovino nodded and followed instructions, placing the bos down carefully. "Now what's got you all worked up, Luca?"
"This!" The smaller Italian opened the box and showed Lovino all his action figures. It was a multitude of Captain America, Wonder Woman, The X-Men, Iron Man, Hulk... All those wondrous superhero action figures. The sight of the action figures that had their paint chipped off and their color on them a little worn out made Lovino grin. "Why'd you take out these?"
"Because you said my Daddy had these action figures before me," Luca explained, picking out the Captain America figurine that was still in its little baggy to preserve it. "And I remember you talking about this one..."
"And what did I say about it?"
"You told me that it's special and that it shouldn't be out of its bag because it's Daddy's favorite." Luca held onto the top of the bag tightly, not wanting it to fall. "This one's my favorite too."
"That's nice, Luca." Lovino mumbled and pulled Luca into his arms, pulling the little toddler into a hug. "You remind me so much of Alfred."
"What happened to you guys?" Luca asked, wrapping his little arms around his Papa. "Why isn't he here now?"
"How about I'll tell you about that story when you wake up." Lovino replied and pulled away, ruffling Luca's hair. "Alright?"
"Alright." Luca nodded and put the Captain America action figure away in the box before jumping into his bed. "Night Papa..." He mumbled and disappeared under his covers, keeping himself warm as he fell asleep. "Night Luca, sweet dreams."
