Kalani shuffled down to the principles office. Why did he want her? Kalani has never gotten in trouble. Not at school or at home, she's just a good kid.

She walked along, staring at her feet. She finally reached the oak door with 'Principal Roberts' written on a panel nailed to the door. She slowly pushed down the handle and shouldered the door open. The secretary peeked overtop her blue glasses placed on the tip of her nose, and motioned Kalani into the principals area.

The air was thick. Kalani felt like she was struggling for oxygen. Her heart hammered so hard in her chest, she thought it would plop right out.

She slowly walked over the large red chair and sat down.

"Miss Hilliker?"
Asked the principal, folding his hands neatly on his desk.

"Yes?"
Kalani responded, not looking him in the eye.

"I got a recent complaint from a student in your grade, Kendall Vertes, that there has been some cyber bullying going on. Now, you're a excellent young lady, and I presume this has nothing to do with you, but I am questioning everyone in your grade."
Said the principal.

Normally, this would be comforting, knowing that he had no idea who was behind the account, but Kalani would have been happier of he just called her out for it. She hated lying, and she cracks under pressure.

Kalani responded by staring at him blankly.

"So, do you have any idea who's behind the account?"
Askeds Principal Roberts calmly.

"No, sir."
She responded.

He just nodded.

"Okay, I trust you. But if you hear anything about who's behind this, come right to me. You may return to class. Thank you for your time."
He said, dismissing her.

Kalani thanked him, and nearly knocked over her chair in a rush to leave. She had never lied before. It felt so wrong, like a big glob in the pit of her stomach.

She ran out of his office, and felt a small tear trickle down her cheek.

She hated this feeling, and desperately wished she never would have even met Kendall, and none of this would have happened.

She stopped by a drinking fountain and pressed the button, and took and nice, long drink she didn't need. She was just stalling, giving her tears time to dry so no one knew she was crying.

But one thing kept coming into her mind-
What have I gotten into?
