Justin’s p.o.v

“I am glad we finally found you a place to live.” Scott said getting back into the car. “They will have the furniture delivered tomorrow so you should be able to move in this weekend.”

“Can’t wait. I am just super glad we found a place with a studio already inside.” I sighed.

“I think you got lucky there.” Scott laughed. “I texted Josh, Juliet made dinner for all of us.”

“Did Juliet find a place to live?” I asked looking over at Scott.

“He didn’t say.” He shrugged.

We drove back to Josh’s house in silent. I was surprised when he said that Juliet had made dinner. I felt bad that Josh and Juliet didn’t have a good relationship, Josh blamed himself. I envy Juliet in a way. Neither of my parents want a relationship with me, they just want my money. At the same time, I was happy for her. I guess every story is different. I just hope she stays away from me like I told her. I am not safe for her. We pulled into Josh’s driveway and walked inside.

“Hey Justin, so you found a place?” Josh asked as we entered the kitchen.

“Yeah, it even has a studio inside.” I boasted.

“That’s cool. We are actually building a studio in Juliet’s room.”

“What?” I asked unsure of what he meant.

“We are going to turn her room upstairs into a flat. That way she has her own place, and isn’t alone.” He boasted. “Austin has it all planned. They start with knocking down the wall tomorrow. He says they can finish by this weekend.” He smiled.

“I can’t wait.”Juliet said. “Well dinner is done, so help yourselves. It’s Spaghetti and meatballs.” Juliet said grabbing a plate for herself.

I got my food and ate in silence. I was surprised Juliet decided to stay here. She seems more comfortable around her father. Maybe they were able to talk about their issues.

“Thanks for dinner. It was really good.” I said putting my plate in the sink.”

“I’m glad you liked it.” She said.

“You are a way better cook than your father.” Scott laughed.

“He actually helped me make it.” Juliet said.

“I am surprised. Normally he would have just ordered in.” Scott said.

I didn’t stick around after that. I didn’t care about their conversation. I just wanted to be alone. I couldn’t wait to have my own place. I couldn’t wait to be far away from Juliet. Being in the same house as her was to tempting. Anytime I was near her, not only was it awkward…I was uncomfortable. I know if I ever did try something on her, Josh would kill me. Weather I was a son to him or not. I could never date Juliet, she deserved better than me.

“Justin” I turned around to see Juliet in my door way. “Can we talk?” She asked walking inside.

“Uh…sure” She came in and shut the door behind her.

“I want you to know that I don’t think you are fucked up. I think we have both been through shit we didn’t deserve. That doesn’t mean that you are a failure. I have done some stupid shit too, I have fucked up too. Just don’t sit around and blame yourself, you will never be able to move on with life if you think that low of yourself.” She said softly.

“You don’t know anything about me.” I spat. If she wasn’t going to stay away from me, I would push her away. I quickly stood to my feet.

“You are right, I don’t. Just remember you don’t know anything about me. You think the only fucked up thing in my past is my parents? That’s where you are wrong. Push me away, I don’t care. Just remember the street goes both ways. Do us both a favor and forget about me now, before I ruin you.” She said before walking out of my room.
