Kimberly's P.O.V.:

I helped my mom clean the house and prepare for dinner. As I was vacuuming I was thinking about Leo. The last time he came over we had pale blue walls in the living room instead of a brighter cheerier blue. We had gotten a new table. Our old cat, Bonnie had died and was replaced with Tacos, our yellow tabby cat. I had rearranged my room over the years. My older sister, Kaya, had moved out, so there was now a storage room upstairs. A lot has changed.

I had just finished vacuuming, when I heard the doorbell ring.

"Kimberly, can you get that please!?" my mom shouts from the kitchen.

Before I could answer, I heard Jack, my little brother, running to the door.

I walked slowly after him, knowing that he would beat me to the door already. When I got to the door, Jack, like expected, had the door open and was already talking to Lizzy, Owen, and Leo.

"Kimberly!!!" Lizzy shrieked when she saw me.

She gave me a big hug.

I hugged her back.

We pulled away and then I stepped aside to allow the Nelson's to come in. Jack was three when our family friends moved away, so he didn't remember them much.

When they walked inside, my mom ran to Lizzy screaming like a child.

"AMY!" Lizzy screamed loudly, hugging her.

"Ladies stop screaming," Owen sighed.

A couple minutes later of them happily greeting each other, it was time to eat.

After dinner, it was still light out, so I suggested that Leo and I should go outside.

He followed me out into the yard by the swing. I laid down in the soft grass. He sat down slowly next to me.

"We used to play outside everyday when it wasn't raining or below zero," I tell Leo, thinking of how many memories I have had in my yard with him.

"That's nice," Leo mumbled.

"I know, what will help you. You remembered the "propose" right? Well we always talked about the black eyed Susan's to have at our wedding," I smile,"We can go see them."

There was a silence.

"I told you, I don't remember. I never will, so stop bringing it up. I'm sick of hearing about the past, that I can't even remember. I have selective memory loss and you can't do anything about it!" Leo yelled.

I started crying. It hurt me so much to think that Leo isn't even my friend anymore.

Leo turned towards me, looking concerned.

"Kimberly, I didn't mean t-" he started to say but I stood up.

He stood up quickly grabbing my arm.

"Let go," I demanded.

I was surprised by the sound of my own voice. It didn't even sound like me.

"Kimberly, wait. I'm sor-" Leo started to apologize, but I cut him off.

I couldn't even stand to look at him right now.

"Let go," I repeated, still crying.

I was looking at the ground.

"Fine, but don't go," he said letting go of my arm.

The sound of his voice sounded hurt.

I turned on my heels and walked inside.

We didn't talk at all when we went back inside. They ended up leaving around 8:30 and then I showered and went to bed right after.

It was a new day. Willow was supposed to come over today.

I got up and got ready. I headed downstairs.

My dad had already gone to work and my mom was making Jack's breakfast.

"Kim, can you go walk this over to Lizzy, please?" she said, holding out a pair of glasses.

"Can Jack do it?" I ask not wanting to see Leo.

"No, I asked you," my mom states.

I let out a long sigh and take the glasses from her hand.

I slip on a pair of flip flops and head out the door, walking to the Nelson's.

I took a deep breath, before knocking on their front door.

I waited a few minutes before the door opened.

It was Leo. His blonde hair was still in bed hair form. He wore a  grey t-shirt with the shield from Captain America on it and athletic shorts.

"Hi," I say awkwardly, avoiding eye contact.

There wasn't anything to look at so I just ended up staring at the shield on his shirt.

"Hi, do you..uh.. need something?" Leo asked.

"No..um..I'm just dropping off your mom's reading glasses," I say looking up at him, hoping we wouldn't making eye contact.

I held them out for him to take.

He smiled," She tends to leave those in random places a lot," he chuckles, taking them from me.

I started to turn away.

"Wait, Kimberly!" Leo blurted quickly.

I turned back towards him.

"Thank you. Um.. I'm really sorry about last night," Leo says, stepping next to me.

"It's okay."

"No, it's really not. You have been excited for me to come back all this time and I can't expect you to not tell me "Remember whens" I'm really sorry, you don't deserve this," he apologized.

"Leo, it's okay," I assured him.

There was a pause and then Leo spoke up, " Do you want to hang out sometime? Maybe you can show me the flowers you were talking about?" he suggests.

"I'd love to hang out."

"Well, great. I'll...uhh plan something, I guess."

"Okay."

Willow came over about an hour later. I had so much to tell her. I told her all about how Leo had come back, but he couldn't even remember me. I talked about last night and this morning.

"You mean, he just snapped at you?" Willow questioned, as she played with her dark brown curls.

"Yeah, but it's okay now," I assured her.

Willow nodded.

"So what's he like.... well besides the memory loss thing? Is he as cute as you remembered?"

Willow was always the one to talk about guys.

I thought for a moment.

"You know, I think his cuteness might have grown," I giggle knowing she would appreciate that.

"Oh my goodness! So he's no longer like a bunny cute, he's more like a fuzzy kitten cute?!" Willow shrieked.

She doesn't even make sense, half the time, but she was my crazy best friend.

"Umm... I guess so?"

"Ahhhhh!!" Willow squealed excitedly," You like him!!!!"
