Kimberly's P.O.V:

I haven't talked to Leo since the day we had dinner at my house. That was over week ago. I've seen him outside when I go out and get the mail, but he doesn't say a word to me.

I was outside with Willow. We were sitting in the grass talking about Leo not talking to me.

"He's probably intimidated by your beauty," Willow responds.

My head turns towards Leo's house when I heard a car door close.

I walked Leo get out of the car. Getting out from the passenger seat, was tall girl with red hair. She was acting all giddy and laughing loudly. It took me a moment to realize that the girl was Alice Kaul.

Alice Kaul was not a person Willow and I liked associating ourselves with. Alice is captain of the cheerleading squad. She played dumb a lot. Alice was a fake. Her and Willow used to be friends a few years ago. Back then, Alice acted like herself. She was smart, funny, including, high-spirited, and encouraging. After she dated Derek Tanners, a football player, she changed completely. Last week, Derek broke up with her after dating for over a year. No one expected that.

I watched as Alice stood on Leo's porch, where we used to play. She was smacking her gum as she listened to Leo say something. I wanted to know what he was saying to her. I wanted to be on the porch paying attention to every word Leo was saying. I knew that she wasn't listening fully to his story. He had laughed when he finished talking, and she just stood there.

"Kim?" Willow whispered.

"Huh?"

"Are you okay?"

I paused to think for a minute. I was jealous of Alice Kaul. But why?

"I like Leo," I state, still keeping my eyes locked on them.

"Ahhhh!" Willow squealed.

Alice immediately looked over at us. Leo turned towards us too. Alice rolled her eyes, flipped her hair, and turned away. Leo smiled at us and waved happily.

"Hey, Kimberly!" he shouted across the yard.

Alice crossed her arms.

I smiled knowing she hated every minute of him talking to me.

"Hi Leo!" Willow shouts back, still smiling about earlier.

"Hi!" I shout too.

Leo turns to Alice for a second. I watch as he says something to her and then she pouts again when he's finished.

Leo started walking towards my yard.

"Oh my gosh, Kim, what is he doing?" Willow whisper shouted.

I shushed her.

Willow covered her hand with her mouth.

"Hey, Kimberly, so you know how we talked about doing something?" Leo starts when he comes near us, " Well, I thought about and then my mom suggested that you could come along on our trip to Florida, in two weeks," he states.

"Wouldn't Alice be mad?" I ask.

"Alice?! No, she climbed in my car after work, even after I told her no," Leo explains.

"Did your mom already talk to mine?"

"Yes, she did. She said it was up to you if you wanted to go or not."

"Well, I'd love to. Thank you for inviting me," I say with a smile.

I hoped that Willow wouldn't squeal, but she was so silent it kind of made me question if she was even there.

"Great, well...I- uhh..better get back to...ummm my company, I guess."
