Leo's P.O.V:
We checked into a hotel called Rosie's Bed and Breakfast. We were only going to be staying for one night, but I thought it was pretty nice. The room we were in was nice and big. It was about 4:30 now.
We had left our house yesterday afternoon. Florida was a terribly long drive from Indiana. We had stopped at my cousin's house, an hour into the ride. We had planned on leaving their house this morning , but my mom was having such a good time she didn't want to leave until one in the afternoon.
I was hungry. My parents wanted to go to the golf course that was next door, but I personally, just wanted to rest.
I went downstairs into the dine in area. It was pretty busy, being the time of dinner.
I sat down at a table. A waitress came up to me and handed me a menu. I scanned the menu and chose to have a coke and a cheeseburger with fries. How original, I know.
I waited patiently for my food to come.
The waitress came back, bringing me my drink. She set it down on the table along with a straw.
I opened the straw and took a sip of my coke. My stomach rumbled as I waited for my food. The worst part about eating out was waiting for your food. You had to sit there hungry, as other people were scarfing down their food.
I heard the dinging noise of the door opening. Great, another staving person, I thought to myself. I didn't even bother to pay attention to who was walking in the door. Not like I was going to know anyone here.
Finally, my cheeseburger greeted me. It's greasiness glistened. I took a bite of it. It tasted amazing. I continued eating my delicious burger as I watched someone put a quarter into the jute box.
I barely noticed someone slip into the the seat across from me. I put down my burger as I turned towards the person.
I was shocked. Her face just smiled happily.
"Kimberly?" I awed.
"Hi," she answered quietly.
I wasn't sure what to do, but I had to tell her that I remember our childhood memories. Her face before me, made me suddenly happy and I could remember things.
"Kimberly, it's you! I think you are making me remember my past," I whisper shout, standing up quickly.
She stands up too. I pull her into a tight hug and sweep her off her feet. Even though I don't want to let go, because I don't want to lose her again, I put her back down.
I kiss her, right in the middle of the diner. Everyone could now clearly see that she was mine. I smiled as I pulled away.
"I'm sorry for everything. It was stupid of me, Leo. I didn't mean to push you away. I'm sorry," Kimberly whispered.
I shook my head.
"I shouldn't have expected you to just be free willing about me kissing you. I should have waited, I'm sorry." I say so only she can hear.
I wrap my arms around her waist.
"Leo?" Kimberly asked, putting her arms around my neck.
I raised an eyebrow at her,"Yes?"
I couldn't stop smiling at her. Kimberly just made me smile.
"You remember me?" she asked smiling, excitedly.
"Yes, I do. I remember when we were kids and I promised that I would kiss you as a birthday present. I remember wanting you to be my girlfriend and that one hasn't changed actually. So here it goes, Kimberly, will you be my girlfriend?" I say.
Kimberly now had the biggest smile on her face. She was blushing like crazy. Kimberly started to lean in towards me. She stood on her tiptoes and just before her lips met mine again she whispered," As you wish."
As we pulled away once more, I knew one thing. I loved her. I loved her so much. I always have and always will. Right now was too early to tell her though. One day, I would get down on one knee and propose to her, telling her how much I love her. It will become one of my favorite days of the year.
