Cronus's POV:

":3< KANKITTY!~" Meulin cried as Kankri opened the door for your friends. She tackled him to the ground and he shrieked a little before Porrim pulled her off him. "H-Hell9 Meulin. Hell9 every9ne. Please c9me in." He said as he lead everyone into the living room. after everyone was seated, Kankri cleared his throat. "N9w, Bef9re y9u explain why y9ur here, Meulin, I belive Cr9nus has s9mething t9 ask Kurl9z. W9uld y9u mind translating?" he asked calmly. Meulin was a bit surprised, but she signaled Kurloz anyways, repeating what Kankri had asked. Kurloz them smiled his creepy grin and looked directly at you. It almost made you wonder if he knew anything at all about what happened to the boys. So you asked. "Meulin, Can you ask Kurloz if he knows anything about what happened with Gamzee and his friends after school today?" you spat-out. Meulin frowned and signed Kurloz your question. In which he also frowned. He moved his hands very quickly and you noticed a small tear run down his cheek. ":3< He says that Gamzee has been very angry at Karkitty latley for ditching him to hang out with Eridan. Gamzee has been furry distraught and distant latley, And Kurloz is so worried about his little brother's sanity. I mean you remember Kankitten, Kurloz lost his sanity at one point too! He just doesn't want his poor brother to have to grow up the same way he did! As fur his friends, Since he hasn't had Karkat to hang out with, Kurloz thought it was a little strange when the young Captor, Pyrope, and Serket came over. But then he saw Eridan and Karkitty show up and he thought everything was fine. We were upstairs doing homework when we heard screams. When we went downstairs to check things out, Eridan and Karkat had left, and Gamzee and his friends seemed pretty proud of themselves..." she explained. You leaned back into the couch and sighed. As you looked around the room, you noticed everyone's faces were serious and dark. You guess Porrim could also sense the tension as well since she was the next person to speak. "Kanny, Cro+nus... I want yo+u bo+ys to+ kno+w that yo+u have made a difference in all o+f o+ur lives... So+ we will fo+llo+w yo+u and back yo+u up with any decisio+n yo+u make..." she mumbled. With that, all of your friends nodded and tried to fake smiles. You looked over at Kankri to find him in deep thought. "I supp9se y9u sh9uld begin explaining y9urselves then..." he stated with an empty voice. That's when Rufioh stood up.

"Guys... 1 d1dn't come back after the coffee shop date because my Dad was 1n trouble. Mrs. Serket has been at war w1th my Dad s1nce 1 can remember, but th1s was the first t1me she's ever blackma1led him..." he trailed off. He had such fear in his eyes it was almost unbearable. Good thing Horuss was here to comfort him. "Bo+ys, Aranea has do+ne so+me serio+us sno+o+ping aro+und. Turns o+ut, her crush o+n Cro+nus was bigger than we tho+ught. There is no+ easy way o+f saying this, but she went to+ Mr. Ampo+ra's place. He's actually a to+tal mess since Kanny to+ld him o+ff, but she asked fo+r his help in taking do+wn yo+ur boy's relatio+nship. I guess he was to+o+ scared o+f Kanny here but he did give her so+me useful advice. Cro+nus darling, Is it true that yo+u keep a heart shaped key with a purple ribbo+n o+n yo+u at all times?" she asked. At this, you froze. All eyes were on you as you sat there in complete fear. After a few minutes, Kankri cleared his throat. "What harm can she really d9 by airing Cr9nus's dirty laundry?" he asked. You turned to look at him as you stood up and pulled the key out of your back pocket. "Kanny, For once, don't try to be positivwe about this. If Aranea has figured out the puzzle behind this key... then my entire fate is in her hands..." You said with a hollow voice. Kankri was about to retaliate when his phone rang. "Ansvwer it Kanny." You huffed as you sat back down. Kankri bit his lip before turning around and lifting the phone to his ear. "Hell9? 9h hey dad... what? 9kay yeah... uh huh....WHAT?! 9h my g9d!!! This is amazing! 9kay... yeah... f9r sure... thanks f9r letting me kn9w dad...9kay... l9ve y9u t99... 9kay.. bye." He said as he ended the conversation.

Kankri's POV:

"well... at least I have 9ne little sliver 9f g99d news... I guess I was ch9sen as class valedict9rian..." you said with heartless excitement. Everyone smiled and cheered. ":3< Oh my gosh kankitty! That's furricken amazing!!!" "As if anybo+dy else co+uld fit the bill any better!" "Way to go L1l dude!!!" And while everyone was excited for you, the one person you wanted the most to be happy was Cronus. "uhm... Cr9nus... ya kn9w, I can use this t9 9ur advantage...." you stated in attempts to grab his attention. His eyes seemed to glisten, and in that moment, you realized how badly Cronus wanted to cry. "uhm... every9ne w9uld y9u excuse me a Cr9nus f9r a minute? It seems we have an imp9rtant matter t9 discuss..." You said as you pulled Cronus's limp body off the couch and shoved him down the hall into your bedroom.

Closing the door behind you, Cronus fell to his knees. "Thank... Thank you kanny..." He stuttered. You smiled and sat down in front of him. "Cr9nus.... Y9u d9n't have t9 thank me. Y9u seemed upset and I did the 9nly thing I c9uld d9." you said as you put your arms around him. as soon as his head hit your shoulder you could feel your sweater getting soaked in his tears. "I'm... *hic* I'm so sorry... This key... *hic* this key was givwen to me... *hic* by my mother... I... I vwish *hic*... I vwish he had told me.... *hic* He knew... HE KNEW ALL ALONG!!!!!" he cried. This news broke your heart. "Cr9nus... I pr9mise y9u... we WILL get t9 the b9tt9m 9f this. And we WILL make sure that b9th 9f us never have t9 suffer again!" You snapped. At this, you felt tears welling up in your own eyes. So you both just sat there. on the floor. Crying in each others arms. Until finally Cronus lifted his head. "I lovwe you so damn much Kanny it's not evwen funny anymore." He said with a smirk. For the first time in a long time, you smiled. "I l9ve y9u even m9re Cr9nus." you stated. Cronus gasped. "w-what is it?" you spat out. "Oh uhm nothin... I just remembered hovw cute you are vwhen you smile" He said as his face turned bright red. You gave him a confused look and then started laughing. "Yeah well y9u l99k cute when y9u blush!" You giggled. And with that, you squeezed him closer to you and kissed him. He was surprised (especially since you never showed your feelings like this) but he eventually fell in with it. The kiss seemed to last forever until Porrim came knocking. "I hate to+ bo+ther yo+u bo+ys but we still need to+ discuss this Aranea issue..." She hummed. You had pulled away in startlement of her voice, but then returned to Cronus's side when you saw his expression go dark. "Kanny... I need to tell you about the key... But... for novw, don't mention it to the others... Please?" He asked. You giggled. "I've g9t y9ur back fr9m n9w till f9rever. And y9u d9n't need t9 tell me ab9ut the key until y9ur ready. I'm sure if 9ur friends truly cared ab9ut us, then they will understand t99." You explained as you helped him off the floor. "You alvways knovw exactly vwhat to say Kanny." he said with his own goofy smile plastered on his cheeks as you lead him out the door where Porrim was waiting.

":3< So me and Kurloz are wondering about this key Purrim mentioned?" Meulin said once everyone settled down. You saw Cronus's expression go dark again so you spoke up. "Me and Cr9nus discussed it and It seems that this key brings up s9me very triggering mem9ries f9r him. S9 I ap9l9gize but f9r the time being we must n9t discuss the key's imp9rtance f9r his sake." you explained. "1s 1t really that bad Crobro?" Rufioh asked. Cronus nodded "Yes. And it's even vworse novw that Aranea holds this kind of information..." He mumbled. You sighed. "Guys, I have a plan. This plan will kill h9m9ph9bia at Alternia High, Help me and Cr9nus regain 9ur reputati9ns, And really help pe9ple understand themselves better. N9w I'm g9ing t9 be d9ing m9st of the w9rk, but I need every9ne's help t9 make this plan p9ssible." You stated. Everyone looked at each other and nodded. ":3< Everyone is here to help you boys out Kankitty. Just tell us what to do!" Meulin cheered. And with that, you all got to work on planning the best graduation ever.
