Cronus's POV:

As the days drew near, you and Kankri's relationship grew. It seemed like only yesterday you were pulling his sorry ass out of the closet. Yet here you stand, in a jewelry store with Rufioh. You almost totally regretted having Rufioh as your partner in crime. "Yo dude check out th1s studded bone necklace! 1t looks so cool!" "Hey are you forgettin vwhy vwe're here?" "Huh? Oh yeah yeah r1ngs are over there" he pointed at a shelf in the corner of the store and you sighed as you trudged over there. Kanny said he had a surprise for you at graduation, so you wanted to get him a surprise too. And seeing yourself with Kanny in 20-30 years... didn't seem like a bad idea. Just then, your phone went off.

"Hello?"

":3< Your shopping for a ring with Rufioh right now aren't you Cronus?"

"Meulin? Hovw did you-"

":3< Nevermind that. The ring is for Kankitty isn't it?"

"Is it that obvwious?"

":3< You realize it's Illegal to get married right???"

"vwhat? but I thought that wasn't a thing anymore..."

":3< Arg your so stupid sometimes! Get the ring if you must, but you better not purrpose at grad or else all of our hard work will be for nothing!"

"I thought it might help the situation a little. Especially since I'm dead serious about this."

":3< Purrhaps but we need to think about how people are going to react. If you just get down on your knee with a ring willy-nilly everyone is gonna laugh at you guys!!!"

"Of course their gonna laugh, and cry, and rage quit, but that's their problem. Not ours. I've always seen it like that Meulin, and I always will. Kanny knows this."

":3< Fine. just don't come crying to us if you fuck up everything!"

"I vwon't. Oh by the vway... vwhere are you right novw?"

":3< In the dress shop across the way! Man your sharp!"

"Yeah well I can play games too. Can you come help? Rufioh sucks at this"

":3< I suppose so."

Kankri's POV:

"Hey P9rrim, what tie l99ks better?"

"Well their bo+th very nice but I like the red and grey stripes"

"Really? I thought the purple and red polka dots might look better with Cronus's suit..."

"O+h do+n't be silly, yo+ur getting corsages aren't you? Knowing him I'm sure he'll get purple ones"

"Well he did say he wanted us b9th t9 wear purple and red..."

"Yes but think o+f the accents darling. Co+me here let me sho+w you ho+w to+ tie it."

"9h P9rrim I can d9 it myself!"

"Kanny why do+ yo+u hate me?"

You and Porrim were (clearly) going over wardrobe details and finalizing your big speech. Since you always knew exactly what to say, you had the whole thing memorized instead of writing it down on cards. Since Cronus went shopping today, you decided to go over to Porrim's house with Eridan and Karkat. You figured they needed a new friend who wasn't overly violent. And since Graduation was tomorrow, you figured you could use Porrim's help on the finishing touches. You began to reflect on the past few months with Cronus. For some reason, you felt the need to open up to him more. It almost seemed as though you were changing into a whole new person! It felt like only yesterday you were trying to push him away, and here you are now, wanting nothing more than his arms around you. And in all honesty, you couldn't wait to see what surprises everyone had in store for graduation. You had a feeling everything was going to change for the better.
