"I am so tired practice is gonna kick my ass I already know it" lauren said as she walked with her arm wrapped around normani's shoulder  to the gym to attend practice

"I'm so glad I don't have practice today" normani said smiling

"Lucky, rub it in why don't ya" lauren said playfully rolling her eyes

Normani chuckled

When they got to the gym normani spotted her best friend ally sitting on the bleachers recording the team practice and walked over to her taking a seat next to her lauren followed behind placing her things down beside normani giving her a sweet peck on the lips then running over to the rest of the team.

"Aw you guys are so cute" ally cooed

"Aw thanks" normani replied blushing

"Hey are you going to tylers party Friday?" ally asks

"Idk, probably you?" normani replied

"Yeah" ally responded

"Though I really don't wanna go I know he'll probably be there because that's his friend so most likely he will be" normani said rolling her eyes

"You don't think he'd bother you, do you?" ally asked she's been friends with normani since their freshman year of high school and knew all about her past in fact she was one of the few who did and that were there for her.

"I hope not because if lauren finds out..." normani says with wide eyes shaking her head

"You mean she still doesn't know, you haven't told her about that part of your past normani?" ally asked shocked

Normani shook her head no

"Why not?" ally asked

"Because I really don't like recalling that part of my past and I don't want her worrying about it allyson" normani replied

Flashback
A Year Ago at the athletes ball..
"What the fuck did I say! I told you to fucking wait for me at the fuckin door! You stupid bitch and I told you not to put on a tight ass dress so why would you put this shit on?" He yelled gritting through his teeth grabbing her by the neck

"Stop, I can't breathe" normani managed to get out though it didn't really help he still didn't loosen his grip on her neck

The evening only got worse as every time normani turned her head to look at anybody tommy thought she was making googly eyes at some guy.

He gripped her thigh so tightly his nails dug deep into her skin

"Keep your fucking eyes to yourself!" He gritted through his teeth. Normani winced in pain. She then got up and excused herself to go to the restroom
which he allowed escorting her and guarding the door. As she went into the stall she broke down in hysterical tears lucky the restroom was soundproof so even though he was right outside he couldn't hear her. She sat there for about five minutes before using the bathroom then walked out the stall after cleaning her face to what she thought was an empty restroom. Just then a girl with the most beautiful green eyes walked over standing next to normani as they washed their hands
