"Lauren please...." Normani said

"What do you mean you were scared, what were you scared of?" Lauren asked

"Nothing" Normani replied

"Then what do you mean you were scared?" Lauren asked once again

"Nothing let's just drop this conversation" Normani said

"You said you wanted to talk now you don't wanna talk..?" Lauren said

"I already explained to you what happened" Normani replied

"Why are you avoiding my question Normani?!" Lauren asked narrowing her eyes

"I already answered your question"

"You said nothing, but that answer doesn't make sense"

"Baby can we please just drop this" Normani pleaded

"No- you know what... yeah let me just drop it" Lauren said getting up heading towards the door

"Where are you going?" Normani asked

"When you're ready to talk let me know" Lauren said before walking through the door

*A Month Later*

Lauren and Normani haven't talked much in three weeks but every time they'd cross paths Lauren has noticed that something was off about Normani like she's hiding something and today just confirmed her suspicions further that something was definitely going on. Lauren walked into her first class of the day and after scanning the room she immediately found Normani sitting in her seat laying her head down patiently waiting for class to start.

Lauren then walked over to the brown skin beauty and tapped her on the shoulder

"hey uh you left your phone on the table" Lauren said as she slid the phone on the desk when Normani lifted her head up and when Lauren looked at her face the first thing she noticed was that she had sunglasses on, there was no sun out and it was raining then she immediately noticed that her lip was busted as she thanked her and quickly layed her head back down but Lauren just couldn't let that slide.

"Hey umm... what happened to your lip?" She asked

"Nothing" was all she answered

"How'd you do that then?" Lauren asked as she pointed to her lip

"I fell into a pole"

Lauren just stood there for a second and narrowed her eyes at the brown eyed beauty before slowly sliding the sunglasses she had on her face off and when she saw what was under the glasses her breathing instantly got heavier and tears began to form in her eyes

"Pole too?" She asked through gritted teeth

Just as she was about to respond her phone went off notifying her that she just received a text, lauren glanced down at the phone and noticed the whole screen was filled with unanswered messages and one didn't sit well with Lauren at all that read

"ANSWER YOUR FUCKIN PHONE!"

from the last person she'd expect it to be from
