Luckly normani and lauren only had two classes today so after their classes they were free the rest of the day and they spent it together studying and chilling.

When they were studying in the library normani felt like she was being paranoid she thought she saw tommy walking upstairs into the library which caused her to stop and freeze up lauren noticed

"normani you totally just spaced out you okay babe?" lauren asked

"Huh? yeah I'm fine" normani replied

"Are you sure?" Lauren asked stepping closer slowly placing a hand on normani's hip

"Yes" normani replied giving lauren a sweet peck on the lips

Normani then went back to studying while lauren studied normani for a second longer

"What?" normani asked chuckling

"You know i'm always gonna be here for you no matter what right through thick and thin?" Lauren asked

"Yes babe I know" normani replied

"Alright, I love you Mani" lauren said kissing normani on the cheek

"I love you way more" normani responded smiling once again pecking lauren on the lips

The two went right back to studying but was once again interrupted when a familiar face from normani's past stopped by their table they were studying at

"Normani? Hey how's it going?" an all too familiar voice one that instantly made normani tense up one that she absolutely hated and hoped she'd never hear again.

Normani's eyes went wide as the voice registered in her mind and lauren noticed immediately

"Babe you alright?" Lauren whispered to normani placing her hand on normani's thigh under the table she felt normani tense up and gently began to rub it

"Uh y-yeah i'm fine" normani stuttered out still looking alarmed

"You sure babe?" lauren asked concerned

"Yeah, I'm sure I need to go use the restroom" normani excused herself quickly leaving the table

Causing lauren to worry even more

After normani quickly excused herself she ran to the bathroom and into one of the stall's immediately throwing up her entire stomach when she was done throwing up her inside's she walked outside the bathroom stall washed her hands, face and mouth out then stood by the wall thinking about all the shit she's been through with him and finally escaped only to find out that he's back, she slowly slid down the wall of the bathroom and sat down on the floor sobbing uncontrollably

"Hey are you alright?" The short blonde girl asked normani as she walked out one of the stalls and noticed her bestfriend on the floor breaking down after washing her hands the shorter girl rushed over to her bestfriend trying to soothe her

"Mani what happened?" ally asked

"H-h-he's back ally" normani continued sobbing

"Who's back?" ally asked confused

"T-t-tommy" normani managed to get out

"Did he hurt you again?"

"No, he just came over to the table and spoke i'm scared ally" normani replied

"It's okay Mani, Where's lauren?"

"She was sitting at the table with me when he walked over we were studying I excused my self to the bathroom" normani explained

"I'll be right back i'm gonna go get lauren" ally said beginning to walk out of the bathroom on her way to get the green eyed girl but was stopped by normani

"Wait ally!" normani said

Ally stopped and turned to face normani right before she reached the door

"I don't wanna worry her so please don't make it obvious"

"Ok"

Lauren was still talking to tommy when ally walked up to the two

"Lauren excuse me can I talk to you for a second?" Ally interrupted

"Uh yeah sure" lauren responded getting up

"Hey ally" tommy greeted

"Hey" ally responded rolling her eyes

Lauren watched the two feeling the tension confused about why there was any at all

Lauren and ally then began walking towards the bathroom talking

"What's up Al?" Lauren asked confused about why she needed to talk to her

When they reached the bathroom lauren walked in first her eyes immediately met normani who was now leaning against the sink wiping at her eyes

Lauren rushed over to normani as she saw her appearance

"Baby? Hey, what's the matter?" lauren asked in a hushed tone concerned

Normani stood up still wiping her face

"Nothing" normani replied

"Mani baby you're crying what's wrong?" lauren asked again gently rubbing her arm

"Nothing It's not important I just need to go home and get some rest" normani said trying to walk around lauren and exit the bathroom but lauren wouldn't let go of the situation she gently slid her arms around normani's waist hugging the brown skin beauty

"Ok" she whispered in her ear before slowly letting go and intertwining their hands and walking out of the bathroom to lauren's car

The ride home was a bit more quiet as normani stared blankly out the window which was a dead give away to lauren because every time they were driving normani always turned her music on and turned it up the highest it would go and when lauren asked if she wanted to stop and get anything to eat she said no she wasn't hungry

They arrive back home and normani went straight to bed exhausted without another word. After taking a quick shower she layed down in her bed trying to sleep but couldn't she replayed all the events that took place earlier which led to her having flashbacks of her past relationship with the monster she thought loved her but was completely wrong.

"Baby"

normani's thoughts were cut off by a raspy voice and pale arms sliding around her torso. Normani ignored her but allowed her to hold her she then turned slightly on her stomach letting lauren's hand rest comfortably on normani's lower back lauren began running her hand up and down the brown skin girl's back gently but stopped when she heard the brown skin girl sniffling and immediately pulled her onto her chest and began wiping her tears

"Hey babe what's wrong?" Lauren asked looking down at the girl

Normani shook her head laying down on lauren chest. Lauren just gave normani a kiss on the head and whispered a soft "I love you" and just held her in her arms and continued to rub her back until she drifted off to sleep.
