Ruggiero looked absolutely amazing. Really. I could crawl under the table and suck him off right then and there if I had no morals. He was wearing nothing too spectacular, but I loved the way he looked in his black and white polka-dotted button-down. He had a white bow tie and the sleeves of his shirt rolled halfway up. On his legs were a cute pair of black pants. It was rare to see a man in dress shoes outside of the church, but there he was.
I didn't even know if Quintavi's was that formal of a restaurant. I just knew that they served pretty-looking dishes that were rumored to be overpriced. Even knowing that I had a small feeling that we were overdressed. I didn't care, though. We looked delectable as a pair.
"Jace, please don't bite me for saying this, but you look gorgeous." He took a sip of his lemon water and sent me a smile. I was still astonished by how beautiful he looked.
I licked my lips before asking, "Why would I bite you?"
Ruggiero laughed a little. "Because you're mean as fuck."
It was only slightly funny, but I laughed a little, too. "Still stuck on what I said about your dick?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "A little. But I proved you wrong and I plan to prove you wrong a second time soon." His words were great and all, but I couldn't let him touch me without spilling last night's unfortunate events. "How's your week been so far?"
"It hasn't been too bad," I said truthfully. There was nothing that killed my mood completely that happened. Besides the night before, of course. "How about yours?"
"It hasn't been too bad for me, either. The shop was really busy yesterday because I guess Tuesdays are great days for cars to break down. Today was pretty slow, so it was a decent balance." Ruggiero appeared as if he were about to open his mouth to ask another question, but the waiter arrived, looking cheery as ever.
She was a beautiful being with long blonde hair and blood-red lips. Her smile was gorgeous, too, as her teeth looked like they were bleached religiously. "Hello, my name is Haley and I will be your waitress for the night. What can I get for the two of you?"
I nodded at Ruggiero, permitting him to order for the both of us. God knew that I was too busy thinking of other things to pay attention to the fact that I had a menu in front of me. I didn't even think he knew what I liked to eat because I had yet to mention it.
Ruggiero licked his lips as he licked between the waitress and I. "May we get two potato soup bread bowls and caesar salads on the side?"
"Of course, of course," Haley said, taking a second to jot the order down in her notepad. "Will that be all?"
"Actually," Ruggiero started, glancing toward me with a mischievous grin. "May we also get a bottle of merlot wine?"
Haley nodded her head and scribbled a little more. "Alright, you two," she said as she gathered the menus, "I'll be back with your food shortly. The wine will be brought around soon, as well."
Ruggiero waited until she had walked away to pick the conversation back up. "Did you do anything exciting?"
"Well..." I wished I had a distraction, but I didn't. And I couldn't think of a good lie. "Not exactly. I drank too much last night because it wasn't my day in the least and did some things I wish I hadn't."
"Like..."
I brought my voice down a bit before confessing. "I let a girl take me back to her place and she had a little fun with me. However, I ruined by—" I dropped my gaze a little, "—calling her your name."
"Oh, Jace. What was her name?" he asked, his eyebrows pulling together in curiosity. I didn't answer him. "Nice, nice. You couldn't even remember her name."
