chapter eight

Chandlers pov (woah it's different)

Izzy shuts the door and I walk to the car. way to go Chandler. way to cover it with just friends. note the sarcasm. truthfully I just want to spend more time with her. when she's not with her friends and I'm not with mine, I don't hate her. she's fun to be around and she's really pretty actually. I've never really got around to look at her, but I think she's pretty. oh who am I kidding? I think she's beautiful. I get in the car.

"hi honey" my mom smiles.

"hey mom" I smile and she pulls out of the driveway.

"how was your night? you and Izzy fight with each other like usual?" she teases.

"actually no. we got along pretty well" I say smiling a little and thinking back to last night and this morning.

"wow. well that's good, glad to see you two are becoming friendlier with each other" she nods.

I nod "me too" I say quietly to myself and look out the window.

Izzys pov

I start to pace around a bit. I can't like Chandler. I just can't. he doesn't like me. and that whole asking me to the movies thing was totally just friends hanging out. right? I mean sure he's funny, kind of nice, and has gorgeous blue eyes and his hair is-no. don't get lost in the thoughts, don't get caught up. everything is fine. I take a deep breath and stop pacing and hear a knock on the door.

"Allie?!" I yell and lay on the floor.

"and Ashley!!" I hear Ashley yell through the door.

"it's open!" I yell and close my eyes. I hear the door open and then close.

"Izzy" Allie says.

"yes?" I ask not opening my eyes.

"wanna tell me why you're on the floor?"

"because I'm a confused girl" I groan and sit up. they both run over to the couch and sit down and I stand up.

"tell us everything" Ashley grins. I explain to them about last night, the drawing and allowing him in my room and getting the lanterns. and I told them about this morning. about my whole clumsiness and falling into him. leaving out the movie part.

"aw sounds like you two are becoming friends" Ashely smiles.

"maybe closer" Allie grins and wiggles her eyebrows.

I roll my eyes "but wait. there's more" I say. they sit forward a bit more because they're so interested.

"before he left he asked me if I was busy tonight. he wanted to see if I wanted to go to the movies" I say. Ashley squeals and jumps up.

"he asked you out!!" she yells and grabs my hands.

"what? no. there's no way" I say and shake my head.

"open your eyes girl! he asked you out!" Allie yells and jumps up too.

"but that doesn't make sense. right after he said just as friends. and then asked me if we were friends" I say still very confused.

"that's just a cover up. boys use it all the time" Ashley says and jumps up and down.

"it's true" Allie nods and looks at the pictures on the coffee table. she picks up the one Chandler drew and flips it to the back.

"awwww. to Izzy, from Chan Chan" she reads and smiles.

"that's so adorable. please tell me when you start dating you will call him Chan Chan" Ashley sighs happily.
