chapter seventeen

Izzys pov

I woke up the next morning and was a little eager to get to school because I wanted to see what Chandlers surprise is. I'm hoping he didn't spend any money or do anything extravagant. I put on leggings, high tops, a baggy sweatshirt and pull my hair up in a pony tail. I do the rest of my morning routine and go downstairs. Connors eating breakfast at the table like usual and my mom is making his lunch.

"morning mom. in a hurry this morning?" I say grabbing a granola bar.

"yes. I have to get your brother to school because I have a meeting this morning. I tried to reschedule so I wouldn't have to rush, but of course people can't be easy" she says putting the lunch in his book bag.

"well don't stress yourself out too much. I'll see you later" I say hugging her and grabbing my book bag.

"have a good day" she smiles and I leave. Chandler offered to drive me but I said that it was fine and I could drive myself. it's nothing against him because I still do like him and our relationship is getting better. I just wanted to go on my own today. I pull into school and get out of the car and walk through the halls. I'm almost at my locker when two boys stand in my way. Gray and Sam.

"what could you two possibly want now?" I ask a little harsh and cross my arms.

"we wanted to apologize" Sam says. I raise my eyebrow.

"yea we're sorry for yesterday" Gray says. they've never talked to me before in a nice way. whenever we talked in school it was always rude.

I wave my hands in front of their faces "are you two ok? are you sick?" I ask. they chuckle.

"we're fine. we really are sorry. and Chandler barely even complained about you anyways" Gray admits.

"yea but now that you're dating him he doesn't shut up about you" Sam says and rolls his eyes. I smile a little at that comment.

"oh god I know" Gray agrees. "she's so beautiful. she's so funny. I like her a lot" he says in a high voice trying to mock Chandler and I laugh and his attempt.

"alright alright, hilarious you two" I hear Chandler say and walking over to us.

"hey man it's the truth" Sam shrugs and Gray nods.

Chandler shakes his head and puts his arm around me "morning gorgeous" he smirks.

"morning Chan" I smile and go to kiss his cheek but he turns his face so I kiss his lips instead.

I giggle and roll my eyes "well played Riggs" I say.

"what can I say? I'm a charmer" he smirks and dusts imaginary dust off his shoulder.

"debatable" Gray shrugs. I laugh and go to my locker with Chandler, Sam and Gray following. Allie and Luke are at Allies locker but Ashley isn't there.

I open my locker "why is Ashley never with you guys?" I ask.

"well she's not at school today at all" Allie says.

"why not?" I ask grabbing a few books.

"she said she was sick" Luke says. I nod and shut my locker. I scoot closer to Chandler and grab his arm and put it around me.

he chuckles "yea?"

I nod and rest my head on his chest. "so when am I getting this surprise?" I ask.

"probably lunch" he says and kisses my head. I look over at Sam and Gray and Gray winks at me.

"do you two know anything about the surprise?" I ask them and pick my head up.
