Summer Fling:

"Whats one word we all use.....We all  want.....We all love.....Love. Without it we feel empty. Craving it from another, but how can we be expected to love when most of us don't even love ourselves?  How can we be expected to love when we cant? How are we so unfamiliar with the word we use the most?  If you think of it love isn't anything but destructive, people give you ideas of love ideas you wish for, ideas that hurt you. You put your faith in someone to unsevoudly make you feel good, feel wanted, feel loved. But when that promise is broken all we do is break into the millions of pieces we wanted some one else to glue together....Only breaking us more until theirs nothing left to break."

After reading the first page of this book I actually really liked it. Enough to continue reading. Maybe for the reason that I 100% agree with it. But also because it didn't start sappy, it started at a time that everyone has or will face, a time that everyone will think about one day. It wasn't fantasy its something that actually happens, and I liked that.

Knock Knock

I turn my head beginning to smile.

"Pause book." I say. Once the audio stops come in I exclaim, bracing myself for a hug form Rylee. Waiting for her run through the door and practically jump at me pulling me into a tight hug. But seconds passed, letting me know it wasn't Rylee.

"Who's their?" I ask wondering who I had let in.

"Hey....um... it's me Noah." The person says.

"What time is it?" I ask. Thinking it was late in the day.

"6:23 I'm sorry I'm so late." He says. Late, I didn't even expect him to come today, let alone at this time.

"I thought you weren't coming today." I say confused.

" I try to come everyday. " He admits. Even at 6 at night? I think. Doesn't he have anything better to do on a Friday at 6?

"Its okay if you skip a day." I say only because I don't want to study everyday. He doesn't respond.

"How long will you be staying?" I say, knowing that any minute Rylee could come.

"I don't know. Why?" He asks.

"I'm kinda expecting some one to come later." I say slowly.

"Oh then I-I can go." He quickly says.

"N-No its okay."

"Are you sure?" He asks. I think for a moment.

"Yeah." I finally say.  There's a moment of silence. Until I hear papers begin to shuffle and things being moved.

"C-can we not work on school things?"  I ask before he could get any farther in unpacking his things. The ruffling stops.

"Then I should go." He says. For some odd reason I was a little sad with that response. I didn't know how long it would be until Rylee came, if she came. I just wanted to have some company. And talk.

"Can you stay, for awhile?" I ask.

"Why?"

"I don't know, hang out" I blurt out not knowing what exactly to say. As if he were truly thinking about it he doesn't answer.

 "sooooo" I ask

"Uh.....ya sure." He finally says. I smile.

There's a silence neither of us speaking until I hear footsteps. They were soft, but loud enough hear. When they stopped I just that assumed he sad down. The silence continued I didn't really know what to say, being that him and I have only had about one conversation on the day we met. I didn't know much about him come to think of it besides the fact that he was smart and my age. That's about it.

"Soooo" He says. breaking the silence. "W-what do you wanna talk about?" He finishes.

"You studder a lot huh?" I ask.

"Well aren't you just great at small talk." He says in a mock tone. I gasp.

"Oh my god you didn't studder." I say as sarcastically as I could.

"Wow dramatic much." He says.

"That's the nicest thing you've said to me since we've met."  I say acting as though I were tearing up, about to cry. Moving my hand up to my heart like I was in an agonizing pain.

"You sure are something." He says slowly, quieting his tone.

"Whats that suppose to mean?" I ask. Noticing that in the two times I've talked to him hes managed to find a way to insult me.

"N-nothing." he says beginning to laugh a little bit.

"Jerk." I say. Knowing he probably wouldn't tell me, no matter how much I begged and argued.

"SO lets get down to business." I say trying to be serious.

"Business?" He asks.

"Yeah, you herd me."

"Again, Business?" He asks.

"How about we stop with all this petty talk and actually learn something. Like, anything?" I say.

"Petty? Oh that's cold. You know I like to think we have the best, and most amusing conversations known to man." He admits returning the sarcasm I had thrown at him earlier.

"Well." I say laughing a little bit.  No one speaks at first.  I decide that I would be the one to spark the fire, or in this case the conversation.

"What do you wanna know?" I ask.

"Anything?" He asks. Sounding a little curious.

"Yeah." I say quietly, second guessing my decision due to his curiosity. I give him time to think. Wondering what it was that he would ask. I just didn't want him to ask why I was here. That was one question that's popped up all to many times. A question that I didn't want hear again any time soon. But I knew that he'd ask. If not now then later.

"Whats your favorite color?" He asks.

All I can do is smile.
