"Hey!" She says enthusiastically, trying to lift the mood noticing that what she had said did the opposite.
"Hey" I say smiling again, ensuring her that it worked. All though Noah left without saying bye or anything I was still happy to see Rylee. I loved her company probably more than anyone else.
"Oh my gosh guess what?!" She says already jumping into a conversation in less than couple of minutes she was here. I smirk, happy that I had a friend like Rylee to fill me in on everything and anything, asap, without wasting any time.
"What?" I ask. Knowing this is a question I would be asking a lot while shes here.
"It happened! Its finally happening!" She says her voice raising in excitement as she talked. I think for a minute trying to figure out what she would have meant. Until a smile begins to spread across my face.
"Omg is Grylee a thing?!" I ask matching her pitch. Asking if her and Grayson were finally dating I always called them Grylee and I always will even if she didn't like it.
Which she didn't
"Yessssssss" She screeches. I bet jumping up and down.
"When, How? He finally asked you out?" I ask. Wondering why hes now doing this, and not sooner.
"Well....." She says slowly stretching the word. The excitement uneasily fading.
"Well what?"
"He um.....I" She begins.
"You what?"
"He. I. He didn't do anything. I guess" She says trying her best to explain stumbling through.
"What do you mean he didn't do anything, he would have had to....to be a thing...right?" I ask confused. Knowing that if he didn't do anything than she would have had to and I know that she wouldn't have. If so than she would have done it a long time ago.
Or so I thought.
"Umm.....no.....well not necessarily." She begins still struggling to find the right words.
"Not necessarily?"
"I did it." She blurts
"did?" I ask her to clarify what exactly she did. "Did what?"
"I asked him out." She says proudly.
"You, you asked him out?" I ask shocked. My mouth dropping.
"Yeah, that's what I said." She shoots back in a snark.
"Why!? How?! When!?" I begin to ask, question after question.
"Well.....on Monday we sat together at lunch.." She began. Me not surprised though they were always together, anytime they had the chance. Which the only thing that surprised me was that it took them so long to actually do something about it.
"And well he asked me to go to the movies on Saturday, and I said no." I raised my eyebrow in astonishment.
"No! You said no to Grayson?"
"Don't act so shocked." She snarls.
"I'm not acting." I say. "I am shocked, you never say no to him, ever." I say dead serious dying of laughter on the inside.
"Anyways he asked why and I said that I was done."
"Done?"
"That's what he said. I explained to him how I've been waiting and anticipating for him to ask me out, but he hasn't."
"What did he say to that?" I ask.
"He said he thought we were already dating."
"Ha so did everyone else." I say as a joke.
"Well we weren't." She says in a harsh tone.
"I know you weren't official." I say moving my fingers in quotation just to annoy her.
"Well he never asked me so, no we weren't." She says.
"Obviously." I say knowing exactly what she meant due to the fact that she always said that. She was and always will be stubborn.
"So your dating now thought, right?" I ask making sure.
"Yeah."
"How does it feel?" I ask.
"What?" She asks.
"You know having a boy friend..." I ask cause she never had one up until Grayson. She could have, boys basically threw themselves at her but she always denied them, saying she wanted to wait for the "right one". Guess she found him, or so she thinks enough to date him.
"Oh, Its weird." She says.
"How?"
"I don't know I mean I know nothings different I mean we always hung out and talked but I don't know its just different now. It feels weird."
"Awkward?"
"Yeah, kinda."
"Don't worry that will pass." I say trying to comfort her.
"How do you know?" She asks.
"Remember when me and Hunter started dating?"
"Yeah."
"We went through the same things." I say. "I bet every couple is like that in the beginning trust me its fine."
"Speaking of Hunter have you talked to him since......." She begins, stopping before she could finish.
"The accident." I say finishing it for her. "Yeah I did. He came by earlier." I finish answering her question.
"What did he say."
"He asked me to forgive him." I say rethinking on the conversation I had with him earlier.
"Will you?" She asked. A question that I didn't know the answer to.
