"Green." I say. "More specific Neon green"
"Green?" He asks a little shocked, laughing.
"Yeah what did you expect me to say pink?" I ask jokingly. Picking the most common girly color, besides sparkles but that not a color. He paused from his laughter.
"Actually yes." He says. I open my mouth as if to be shocked. Wow. I think.
"Not all girls like pink you know. If so then let me guess is you favorite color pink?" I ask. Wishing he'd get what I had just said.
"Did you just call me a girl?" He asks. I smile, happy he did.
"Oh you are smart." I mock.
"Well of course why would you think other wise?" He asks way to confident in himself.
"Do you understand how bad ten year old girls can be?" I ask. Wondering if he had gotten it yet. He chuckles a little bit. I liked his laugh for some reason. His laugh wasn't to low making it creepy and awkward or to high making him sound like a girl, it was just right.
"Well played. Your turn." He says.
"I already asked." I say still smiling.
"What, when?"
"Just now." I say, trying to contain my laughter.
"What?" He asks.
"Do you understand it yet?" I repeat.
"Do I understand what?" He asks confused. I laugh at his confusion.
"You know you always say your smart but......" I say not finishing.
"I am."
"Then?"
"Then what, women." He blurts. At that I die. I try to stop laughing, though the pain its causing makes me cringe but I couldn't stop. My laughing causes Noah to begin. Leaving both of us to die of laughter.
"Do you see how bad 10 year olds can be?" I ask once I contain my laughter enough to ask.
"No" He responds after awhile. I give a little chuckle, trying not to laugh to badly.
"Really?" I try say. Letting my chuckle grow into a soft laugh.
"HaHaHa very funny." He says
"Actually yes." I say, using the words he has used earlier. We both sit their laughing for awhile, until the laughter dies out.
"Okay now its your turn." I say. He thinks for a moment.
"Who was that guy that came to see you last time I was hear?" He asks. "Yesterday?"
My once happy mood was now gone. As if he could see the sudden change in my mood he knows that was a personal question that he maybe shouldn't have asked.
"Hunter." I say.
"Hunter Price?" He clarify.
"Yeah, you know him?" I ask forgetting that we went to the same school.
"Yeah head of the football team, popular, jerk." He begins. I laugh.
"Jerk?"
"Oh sorry I mean jock." He lies. I shake my head at him.
"No you didn't."
"Maybe your right." He says
"Why?" I ask.
" I don't like him?" He says. Neither do I, I think.
"Why not?"
"Personal things." He finishes. No one says anything for awhile.
"Why was he here?" He asks.
"Personal things." I say. Letting him know that I didn't want to talk about it.
"Can I ask you a question?" I ask changing the subject.
"You just did." He says trying to lighten the mood. I chuckle a little.
"No seriously." I say.
"Sure I mean that's what we've been doing right?" He asks. I smile.
"W-What do I look like?" I say curious hesitant to ask at first. He doesn't respond. But I give him time to answer.
Suddenly the door burst open and i'm being squeezed in a tight hug. Rylee I think. I hug her back almost as tight. When she lets go I take a breath of air.
"Noah this is Rylee, Rylee Noah." I say introducing them to one another.
"Who are you talking to?" She asks.
"You and Noah." I say as if it was the most obvious thing.
"The dude that was in hear?" She asks.
"Yeah" I say. "That's Noah."
"Cam he left, when I ran in." She tells me.
"Oh" I say. The smile on my face dropping.
