Hollywood Disaster

                     Marina chortled out laughing with Mimi and Rachel as a picture flashed by of yet another Hollywood Celebrity that was caught on tape in a diva breakdown. She didn’t know how they could handle it, those famous junkies. Your every move was watched closely by the Paparazzi, so there never was a day off.  Plus, all of them seemed like extreme jerks or sluts or both.

                “I thought he wasn’t allowed another chance before his manager kicked him off of his record deal,” Mimi commented.

                “His heavenly voice of an angel is just too amazing for anyone to get rid of,” Rachel mocked the reporter’s words recently spoken.

                “You mean his baby wail that only dogs can hear?” Marina questioned. She was always one to give an insult straight to your face out of the trio, eager to let anyone know what they really were.

                All three girls shared a look before bursting into fits of giggles. Marina smiled at her two friends after her breathing was normal again. They had been best friends since the first day of kindergarten, sticking up for each other along the way. Of course, there were many bumps along their road of friendship, but that was the only way for their healthy relationship to last.

                Rachel grabbed for the remote. “I think it’s time for popcorn!”

                “Don’t put that butter oil on it this time. That was a fiasco last time,” Marina reminded the retreating figure while sticking her tongue out.

                Sighing at her out-spoken friend, Mimi muted the television before turning on the couch to face her friend. Marina was enjoying herself, lounging on the loveseat. When she saw Mimi’s eyes, she internally groaned. Mimi wanted something from her, and Marina was probably not going to like it.

                “I think that you should try out for the school movie. You did so well in the private play you did for us. And, there is no singing for any of the characters,” Mimi blurted out.

                Marina shrugged in protest, “I don’t think that I should. It would be too embarrassing. People would make so much fun of me if I messed up big time.”

                Rachel returned with a gigantic streaming bowl of popcorn. She sat down on the blown up mattress, forming a triangle with the other two. Passing the bowl to Mimi, she gave her friends a knowing glance.

                “I knew that you would bring that up. However, I agree with you 100 percent. I think that you would do great in the leading role, Marina,” Rachel added.

                “I don’t know, you guys,” Marina said, “I probably wouldn’t make it in the cast anyways. Kasey and her minion squad have a guaranteed spot if they even think of doing it. And you know her; anyway to get her face on camera is a way to fame, and a way for her to show off.”

                “That chick won’t stand a chance with you,” Rachel assured her.

                “Yea, plus you-know-who is the camera man!” Mimi tried to help.

                Marina was in an awkward position in that point. She would have to give another reason to her friends why she couldn’t do it.  It would be crucial to tell the truth, since she sucked at lying. But, she didn’t want to give away what had happened all those years ago.

                Luckily, her older brother that seems to enjoy the over protectiveness side of himself when concerning matters with Marina, decided the waltz in with none other than Kasey. She didn’t know why the hell Kasey was in her home. Max hated Kasey with a passion of loathing that Marina didn’t even know was possible.

                Max gave her a half smile, and the look in his eyes told her everything she needed to know.  He had had a bad day, and needed something to take his mind off things. In return, he grabbed the easiest thing to do in his bedroom, which of course was the sluttiest girl to ever walk the planet.

                Kasey gave the three girls a look of pure bitchiness before grabbing Max’s collar and pulling him for an intense kiss full of lust on her part. Max on the other hand was expressionless.  However, he did seem to enjoy the fact that she was just so easy. He sent Marina a wink before grabbing his prize’s hand. Shocked, all three girls watched amazed as Kasey tried to seduce Max before they were in his bedroom.

                “And that is what I call absolutely disgusting,” Rachel shivered. She and Kasey had the worst history out of the trio.

                The other two shook their heads immensely in response. No doubt all the female population wanted to be the Queen Bee, but hated her. Some guys were in love with her, while others used her as an easy bang. Others just completely ignored her, not wanting to get involved with her at all.

                 “My poor brother is about to have the worst bed activity he has ever had to encounter,” Marina agreed.

                “I bet we are better than her, and we’re virgins!” exclaimed Mimi.

                Marina hoped that the intrusion diminished the rest of the thought regarding the school movie from her two best buds. Even though she knew the topic would come up again, she didn’t want to deal with it right now. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to be in the movie; it was just that there was a certain someone hanging around her past that she didn’t want to speak too ever again.

                           Fortunately, luck was on her side for once.

                         “I declare that it is time for a classic movie to bring back memories of childhoods long lost by our aging selves,” Mimi dramatically exclaimed, “by none other than the Pirates of the Caribbean!”

                “Nothing like that witty Jack Sparrow and sexy Orlando Bloom to end a day,” Marina enthusiastically added.

                Rachel rolled her eyes at both girls. All three of them, whether one or all three, insisted on watching those series every time they spent the night together.  A long-term friendship ended up with a chain of traditions neither of the girls broke.

                “I have it on blue-ray!” Marina announced.

                “Gasp! How much larger and more intensified this will be!” Rachel mocked.

                “You don’t have to be sarcastic about it. I believe that there is a slight difference in the lighting from an original DVD to a blue-ray.”

                Mimi looked between both girls. Suddenly, she gasped. Both girls turned their attention to her gaze, which was on the TV. There, in live color gossip television, was none other than Alex Kandz, lead boy band singer and a student at their school, running from camera, straight towards Marina’s house.

                “Crap! It’s him again!” Marina cursed.

                Her friends both looked at her. Hell was about to break lose when that doorbell rang.

Yes, it is me back from the dead. Well....it's been two weeks. I hope you don't see any major mistakes. I know this chapter was kind of quick, but I just wanted it to be a bried overview....trust me, there will be more detail.
