Oh yes! Two uploads in three days. Note, the editing job in this is terrible. I'm greatly in need of an editor.

The right shows this yummy actor who shall play Darren. The song was the best fit I could find for this chapter... It's not perfect.

Chapter 5

“That was… was beautiful,” Ty sniffed after a tear streamed down his face.

Marina blushed a bright crimson red, suddenly very alert to all the pairs of eyes watching her from her position on stage. She glanced over at Mimi who gave her two thumbs up. Taking the courage from her friend, she faced Ty again.

“Uh- Th- Thanks,” She stuttered before quickly walking off stage.

Her mind was mentally screaming. It was impossible to believe that she actually did it. Nothing was a bigger surprise than Marina Ryan acting in front of a semi-larger crowd. It didn’t matter if she froze up before or after because she managed to avoid making a giant fool of herself. After mentally dancing, she joined a group hug with Mimi and Rachel.

“I did it!” She squealed with excitement.

“I know. I’m so proud of you,” Rachel smiled back, ecstatic that her friend took the first step in her future.

“Oh, lookie a hug. Don’t worry hun, you’ll need a ton more after I beat your ass in this audition. I was born for the spotlight. You, obviously were not,” Kasey sneered, fake pity drenching her faced.

Marina had had it. She was tired of Kasey putting her and others down just because Kasey thought that she was all that. Even though crying in a corner or with the comfort of her friends was her normal routine, she was through with Kasey and her act. People at school hated her; they just used her. While Kasey was clueless, Marina put her in her place.

“Just shut up, Kasey. No one wants to hear your pathetic self-motivating lies. Did you see yourself? You sounded like a dying cow on crack. So what if I hug my friends. At least I have some, and not some fake plastic Barbie dolls who back talk about me behind my back. Yea, that’s right. They speak of horrible things behind you back. Like how you were making love to Danny and told him you needed a drink, but really you went for a quickie with Jack. No one likes you, they just love that you are an easy lay. So for once, could you just shut up and accept that being a bitch isn’t  going to get you anywhere in life. Who wants a total drag queen who failed high school to work for them? Not even McDonalds. So, just shut up, will you?” Marina ranted her face red.

Her friends stared at her in shock. Not once in their years together had they seen her act so furious. Kasey was equally in awe, a few tears obviously about to leak. However, she held herself together. This chick was going to pay. Heck, the whole school was going to pay. There was more to her than met the eye, and it was about time people liked her, not matter how much of a female dog she really was.

Kasey turned around, and fled the scene. After she was scarce, Marina sighed in relief. Boy, did it feel good to get that out of her system. She knew that rumors would fly around fast, especially with the audience staring at her wide-eyed. Embarrassed that they had just witnessed that, her face heated, and she ducked her head, covering her face with her brown hair.
