This is a day late...again. Sorry, I couldn't find my laptop since my mom stole it for her class. I found my dad's to right this today. Note, it is unedited so bear with me until I can read over it one more time. I don't know what is up with the indents.

To the right, is the actress that will play the one and only Mimi:)

Check out my new story, Fighting Fire with Water. It's only one chapter, but I want to know what you  guys think!

Making It Big Time

Chapter 7

Alex stared uncomfortably at a pacing Marina. She was mumbling under her breath and smacking her palm to her head every couple minutes. He didn’t see what the problem was. In his mind, who wouldn’t want to be famous? Her talent was fantastic so why would she try to hide it? Fame was one of his top priorities, not only was it enjoyable, he got paid for it. Nothing could have been better.

“Um, Marina? What is the big deal?” Alex finally broke the silence.

“What’s the big deal? What’s the big deal he says. The big deal is that I don’t want to be famous. I don’t want to act in front of a huge crew. Do you have any idea how hard it was for me to audition for my school movie? I could barely stand!” Marina ranted on and on.

Oh, maybe that was why she was pissed when he saw her act, and when she looked like she was about to have a heart attack. Stage fright was a pain in the butt. However, he wasn’t going to let this opportunity pass by her without giving a shot at it. He had the perfect plan how to make her stage fright nonexistent by the time shooting for both her movies occurred.

“Don’t worry, we’ll get through it. In no time, you’ll be ready for your star fandom,” Alex reassured her.

“Who says I want to do any of this,” she glared at him.

She couldn’t believe he did this. He wasn’t even supposed to be there when it happened. Heck, she probably would pass out if she actually landed the role in the school movie. There was no way she would ever have the courage to break it at the top or the bottom of Hollywood.

“Look Alex, I know you think that this is an amazing opportunity and a great way to try and start over with me, but I am not interested. Okay?”

“Look Marina,” he mocked her as he spoke, “you are not going to not do this. In a month when you receive the script, you are already going to be set to act on set.”

                        “But-“

“No but's, or no’s are allowed. You are going to be a star Marina.”

Marina was about to argue when Max sauntered out from who knows where with Mimi and Rachel who trailed behind her. She eyed her two best friends and brother suspiciously. They were up to something, no doubt. The question was what exactly.

“What’s going on here?” Max noted the situation warily. He was pretty sure his sister hated the singer that was currently lounging in front of his sister. He thought that Marina would kick Alex out after he left.

“This…douche bag thinks it is okay to send of a tape of one of my acting to a huge agent, land me a giant role in a movie, thinks that it is okay to get rid of my stage fright, and then has the nerve to tell me that I’m not allowed to refuse,” she pouted.

Max, Mimi, and Rachel all burst out laughing. Rachel was the first to fall to the ground, clutching her stomach with tears falling onto her cheeks. Mimi and Max soon followed suit. Marina watched them with a huff, her arms crossed and a pout prominent on her face.

“You do realize thousands of people would kill to be in your spot right now, right?” Rachel made sure her friend knew what she was dealing with.

                        “Yeah, but I’m not ready.”

“Marina, as your older brother, I am commanding that you will do this movie, whether or not the school movie goes well.” Max smiled as he left the room, leaving a small tension in the room as Marina realized she was in a huge fight with her best friend.

“One question, how  the hell did both of you get in the house if you didn’t come in the front door, and I’m pretty sure, Mimi, that you and I are not on speaking terms right now?” Marina demanded.

“You see, it’s all over E-News that Alex Kandz was inside your house, so we both snuck in your house to see what all this nonsense was about,” Rachel responded, looking over at Mimi to complete the answer.

“Uh, I realized I was stupid and jealous that I didn’t know every detail of your life. You will spill it all to me soon, but I know you need my support so I’m really sorry. Can you forgive me?” Mimi rushed out, obviously nervous.

“Of course,” Marina squealed taking her best friend in her arms. Mimi relaxed and returned the hug, happy that Marina didn’t take this fight too seriously like some of their other ones.

Alex smirked, “If you guys start kissing, I will personally enjoy this very much.”

As she growled, she threw a pillow at him. “That is totally gross. She is my best friend. You don’t even think about stuff like that,” she shivered in reply.

“Just so you know, Marina dear, your training starts tomorrow, bright and early.”

Before she could argue, Alex walked out the back door to avoid the paparazzi. Seething with annoyance, Marina turned to her must trusted girls. Both laughed at her expression.

“You’ll do fine,” Mimi encouraged her.

“If I don’t puke on him,” she muttered.

Mimi and Rachel smiled at her. Marina was back in buisness.
