Chapter 20 Hopes are high

"What do you mean you lost him?" Hera glared at Kannan with rage. "Someone doesn't just disappear." I had just finish giving the crew the bad news, when Hera pulled me into the cockpit to scold me profusely.

"I know." I stated, rubbing my face with my hands nervously. "He was just there, then I looked away for ten seconds top and when I looked back; he was gone. Ahsoka was battling with the Inquisistors and as I was trying to grasp the idea around the situation to see if there were any ways to make things easier, that's when I was attacked by two of Seventh Sister's droids. They electrocuted me and when I finally demolished them, I looked back to Ezra but I was met with his shadow; he was no longer there."

"I just don't understand why they want Ezra so desperately all of a sudden. Do you know why?" Hera inquired, looking at me with concern in her eyes. I took a step closer and put my hands on her shoulder reassuringly.

"I believe I do." I paused, looking at Hera straight in the eyes. "The first time I encountered Ezra with his powers was the mission to Jakku, as you already know, and our battle with the Inquisitors was eventful. That's where Ezra used his powers for all to see. The Inquisitors know what Ezra can do, I think that that's why they want him."

Hera looked away, tears threatening to escape her eyes. I put my index finger on her chin to lift her head so she can look at me. "Hera, we will get him back. I promise." I gave her a tight hug before we were interrupted by Sabine, storming into the room with a tad bit of excitement and hope in her eyes.

"Guys! I have some good news and some bad news." Sabine stated, leaving us all to dwell in our thoughts anxiously until Zeb, Ahsoka and Chopper arrive.

A few seconds later, after Sabine made the announcement that she had news, Zeb, Ahsoka and our mischievous droid came stumbling into the cockpit. We all sat down in our rightful seats waiting for the news Sabine had proclaimed she possessed. "So...you gonna tell us or what?" Zeb asked, breaking the silence.

"Oh! Yeah, right. Sorry, just so excited about the news. Alright, good new or bad news?" Sabine questioned the whole crew.

"Good news." We all stated in unison, with choppers grumbling also. 

"Alright, well, the good news is that I have pinpointed Ezra's location through his com." Sabine responded to our anxious curiosity.

"And the bad news?" Hera inquired, all our muscles tensing as we awaited for our answer.

"The bad news is that it was lost. The signal was cut, so I have only a slight clew as to where they are." The Mandelorian teen spoke, her excitement ceasing a tad bit.

"Well, where was your last location near?" The green Twileck demanded.

"Outside of the Lothal System, near Hoth. But I don't know if they landed there or if they're just floating in space on a Star Destroyer or what not. That's all I know."
