Kannan's POV
Everything was going just fine until I got a shot to the shoulder. I cradled it making sure to put pressure on the wound to cease the bleeding immediately while suffering through the pain. I grunt with frustration taking my eyes off of my shoulder to look back at Ezra who was looking at something out of my line of sight. I followed Ezra's gaze to the woman behind me, Seventh Sister.

"What a pity. I was hoping that the boy would loose all faith in you and try to eliminate you, but I guess not." The wench paused for a suspending effect. "My question is why the boy would believe your words, Jedi. I mean it's not like he is telling the truth anyway he's just trying to get into your mind and convince you that he's not the bad guy in this situation, but he really is-"

"Ezra, don't listen to her. Why on earth would she be telling the truth? She's the one who wants your power not me. I only want Ezra, the full package: your kindness, generosity, excitement, love..." I trailed off. I looked Ezra deep in the eyes, I hate seeing him broken. My heart tore in two when I saw tears welling in his eyes.

"I-I-I don't know who to believe!" My Padawan shouted "I can't do this!" Ezra started to glow up again and without any hesitation I jumped on him and gave him a hug as if my life depended on it but really Ezra's does, more like his future.
I pulled Ezra into my chest and he began shaking.

My Padawan was weeping into my shoulder as he calmed down and before I knew it he stopped shaking and crying and ended up dozing off. I picked him up, threw him over my shoulder and turned back to face my enemy all while ignoring the screaming pain of my blaster wound. "Ya know this was eventful and all, but I believe I will be taking the kid back. He's ours and never will be yours. Neither you nor the Empire can take away everything we love." I left with that last word, bolting in the opposite direction of her. As soon as I turned the corner, I heard a Crimson blade ignite and footsteps rushing towards me. Down the hall I see Zeb and Sabine hurrying to reach me, but I signal them to move in the direction that I am moving in. "We got an angry Inquisitor behind us."

"How's the kid?" Zeb asked, looking at the motionless body thrown over my shoulder.

"He's fine, just passed out. Surprisingly he didn't get tortured. Then again there is still mental torture." I thought the last part. I picked up my com. and messaged Hera, "We got the kid, get the Ghost ready 'cause we're leaving."

"Copy that Spector 1." Hera replied.

I decided to look behind me to see if the crazed woman stopped chasing us only to be deceived by a group of troopers alongside her. "Step on it guys!" I yelled to my crew.

"Ugh" Zeb grunted "gimme the kid Kannan." Without my consent Zeb removed the raven haired boy from my shoulder and I felt extremely light and was able to move freely. I pulled out my sabre at the precise time that I started hearing blaster shots coming our way. I slowed my pace so that I would be able to deflect shots coming at us with a wider range in space. Sabine began to fire right back at the bucket heads immediately whilst Zeb ran a tad faster to keep Ezra out of harms way.

Sabine and I diminished the trooper count by half as soon as we hit the Bay Area. "Hera, get ready to leave!" I yelled at my com. link.

"Copy that, Spector one. Now hurry and get your asses on the ship." Hera warned. The rest of the crew and I took one final sprint towards the ramp of the Ghost while Chop. was waiting for us to get on to close it. The Ghost lifted off the ground and we all made a big jump and made it to safety. We were able to succeed with our mission.
