"How come you don't burn in the sun?" I asked Pete. He raised his hand and wiggled his ring-adorned finger.

"This ring, it's made of some special stone," He said and I nodded.

"When can I get one? I don't want to stay inside all my life."

"It's at my house, we can go there tonight." He said and I nodded.

He got up and tossed the empty blood bag in the garbage. I can't believe all this is happening. You would have told me that I would be a vampire a month ago, I would have told you that you were completely nuts, and it still all seems completely nuts.

"Will Gerard and Thomas be there?" I asked suddenly scared.

"I don't know, but if they are, they will be in for a pleasant surprise, now won't they?" He asked cracking a smile.

"I guess," I said worriedly.

-nightfall-

"You ready to go?" Pete asked me.

"Yeah, but I'm worried." I said.

"Don't be, I'll be with you." He said and I smiled.

We drove from my house to Pete's. There was a car parked in the driveway, presumably Gerard's. We walked into the house and up to Pete's room without being noticed.

I could hear laughter in the basement, and what sounds like a video game. It was weird, it was like listening to myself talk and laugh.

Pete pulled out a box from one of his dresser drawers and handed it to me. I opened it to reveal a ring identical to Pete's.  I slid it on my right hand before thanking him.

"You're vary welcome." He said and I smiled. My smile quickly faded as I heard footsteps nearing the door. The door opened and Gerard and Thomas pranced in.

"Oh! You brought him," Thomas said with disgust. "I don't even know why you keep this human around with so many other things you could be doing with your life." Thomas said as he stood in front of me. "He's pathetic."

I had enough of that. I could faintly feel a burning sensation under my eyes and a small pain in my top row of teeth as I bared my fangs at him. He backed up slowly.

"Ah, so he's not human, but he still looks pathetic." Thomas said.

"He looks exactly like you!" Pete said, stepping up.

I have no money. I want money.
