Chapter 18/ depression

*Hayes's POV*
It was like midnight and I wanted to be with Alex.. this distance is just too much for me.. I just decided to go to her house and surprise her.

**at Alex's House**

I started to climb up the window and I saw that she was watching Chicken Little. How typical😂👌

I then turned to her bed and saw her and Josh kissing.. I felt like my heart broke into a million pieces...

I then just walked home.. I ran to the park and saw that Layla and Bailey were there.

"Hey guys.." I said walking up to them.

"Hey!" They said turning around.

"I can't do this anymore.." I said.

"What?" Layla asked.

"What do you mean?" (Ohh oh oh when you nod your head yes but you-- no.. okay!) Bailey asked.

"I went to surprise Alex at her house and saw her with Josh.. I don't think things are working out anymore.. she's falling in love with Josh" I said.

"Hayes your a great guy and we don't know anything about Josh" Layla said.

"Well Liz asked Alex if Alex and Josh were still dating.. so we know they dated before" Bailey said.

"Great.. she's falling for her Ex!" I said running my hand through my hair. I then felt my eyes water up.

"Hayes?" Layla asked.

"I can't handle this anymore I just wish I could find someone who will actually love me.. someone who won't turn their backs on me.." I said.

"In all fair you did kiss Leslie" Bailey said.

"Yeah I deserved that she kissed Josh.. but I don't deserve her to continue lying to me.." I said wiping a year away.

"If you want we can talk to her.." Layla said.

"Its okay.. thank you but I don't want anything else to be ruined." I said.

I told them bye and I went back home.. where my mind went crazy.. lostin thought.. crazy thoughts..

I can't lose Alex I love her way too much.. I then pulled out my phone and texted her.

Babe.. things have been awkward lately and I don't want anything awkward.. you've been lying to me also.. Im sorry if i wasnt good enough. The best boyfriend. Or anything good. Im sorry I kissed Leslie. Im sorry I hurt you. Im sorry for trying.. Im sorry for everything. I sent the message and went downstairs. I went and looked for a razor and some pills.. maybe a gun. I can't deal with the pain anymore.

I found a razor and started to cut. I found some pills and took a lot. But then I saw something..

I saw this gun in the corner and I went back to my room.

I checked to see if I was loaded.. It was. I took out 4 of the bullets abs left one. So I had four chances to try.. well 5 actually but still.

I put the gun in my mouth. I was ready I almost pulled the trigger but I heard my door open.. then my light turned on. I had already hid the gun under my pillow.

"Hayes are you okay?" I heard. I turned around and saw Nash.

"Oh my god.. Hayes what the hell?!" He yelled.

"I can't be happy without Alex in my life.." I said. I'm complete tears.

"Hayes your going to be okay.." he said.

I took the gun from under my pillow and put it to my head..

"Hayes stop.." he said.

I was just crying.

" I'm gonna call Alex.." he said and called her..

About 5 minutes later she was here in my room.

"Babe what are you doing?" She asked.

"The real question is what are you doing?" I said and turned around.

She looked at me and broke down into tears. I pulled out the gun and pointed it to my head.

"Hayes..." she said in tears.

"Please just go away.." I said.

"No.. Hayes I didn't mean to kiss Josh it just sort of happened" she said and I pulled the trigger. No bullet. And Alex screamed.

"HAYES STOP!!" She yelled. Obviously everyone in the house heard her because by now everyone was in my room.

"HAYES WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" My mom yelled as I pulled the trigger again.

"HAYES STOP!!!! STOP!!!" Everyone yelled.

I pulled it again..

And then again.. I had one more try and then I was dead.

"I'm sorry.. Hayes it was a mistake I didn't mean to.. I love you with all my heart. Hayes you know that! I would never be with Josh. Your the love of my life.." she said crying and touching my face.

"Alex I just don't want to hurt you anymore.. you and Josh would be great together. I love you Alex Samantha Williams" I said and with that I pulled the trigger...
