Chapter fifteen

( 3 months later )

I walked into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator grabbing my fruit smoothie , I grabbed my straw before dropping it into the cup and taking a sip . I smiled as I drunk more before rubbing my stomach

" mhmm " I moaned in satisfaction

" Jasmine ? " I heard his voice as he walked down the stairs

" in here " I responded as he walked into the kitchen

He chuckled and grabbed my hand pulling me closer to him , I placed the cup on the counter before reaching up to kiss him

I blushed as we pulled away and he smiled just staring as I grabbed the cup again

" you're in love with that , aren't you ? " he asked with a smirk

" it's so good Jay , you have to make me so more , like it's literally the only thing I've been craving for the past month " I explained and he laughed

" I got you " he said opening the refrigerator door

I smiled walked past him and up the stairs to grab my phone , today was his 23rd birthday , and I needed to gather everyone at the venue and have everything ready before 3 .. it was just now hitting 2:40

I grabbed my phone and texted Amari making sure she had everyone on the friend list

: yeah , every one is on their way , we're just waiting for the groom 😜

I chuckled , I swear she's been calling us formal names , since we've been together ... Like not yet

I smiled and walked to the closet , grabbing my dress from the hanger and my heels from the stand

He walked up the stairs with only his pants on

" Someone's getting all dressed up " he sassed looking at me

I turned around and chuckled

" we need to be there in like 10 minutes " I reminded him and he nodded

" I know I just have to put on my shirt and do my hair " he explained patting his afro

I rolled my eyes playfully at his feminism , then grabbed the dress and stepped into it before pulling it up

I sighed as he walked past me into the bathroom to " do his hair , " I swear he worries more about his hair then any female

He walked back out with his tux on , looking all professional , I looked at him and bit my lip , he looked back at me and shook his head

" not until tonight J " he chuckled and straighten his vest 

I shook my head and sat on the bed , he went to grab my heels , and I raised my hand to stop him

" babe , you're going to be on your feet all day , just let me help you " he said with a smile

I sighed and smiled " thank you baby "

He helped me up from the bed and I grabbed my purse , and we headed out the room , locking the doors and turning of the lights ......

JACOBS PARTY

" hi Jasmine " a guest said as I walked past

I turned around with a smile and responded same , then continued walking until I spotted Jacob

" baby , where's Maddie ? " I asked and he turned to look at me

" I thought she was here " he shrugged clueless

I sighed " no , only Craig " I said looking over at the VIP section as he talked to boys

" maybe she's in the bathroom or something " he suggested and I shook my head walking back towards the booths

" Craig ! " I yelled at him and he looked at me

I walked off towards the exit and he followed shortly after

I turned back around to see him walking towards me , once we were outside the building , I asked him the same question I was asking literally everyone

" where is my sister ? " I asked looking at him

He looked at me for a moment thinking then he looked off to the side

" oh right ! She said she couldn't come " he said and shrugged

" so you're okay with that ? She's all alone , pregnant with your child ? Your not worried about her ? " I asked

He shrugged " I mean I texted her and she said she was okay " and pulled out his phone to show me the messages

I sighed once more and stopped him " tell Jacob I'll be right back , I have to go check on her " I said

He nodded before walking back into the building , I started walking towards my car and then I hoped in driving away from the lounge

Something is definitely wrong , she never misses a party ...
