After a couple hours of watching cartoons, Quentin and Adeline moved upstairs to go to bed. When we were alone, Ricca turned towards me.

"So, what do you wanna do now? It's about 9:00, but it's also Saturday so we can stay up however long we want."

"Hmmm. How about we just talk? Sort of like 20 Questions, I guess."

"Alright. That sounds good to me. Do you want to start, or should I?"

"You can start if you want. You're the new one in town, after all." We ask each other questions for what seems like hours. We ended up having a lot in common. "Are you serious?"

"Yea! I've read your stories before. My username is RicRicCanadian! I just followed you a few weeks ago."

"That's really interesting. Small world huh? I never would have guessed I would meet someone who's read my stories online before." 'I'm glad to know that we have a lot in common. Hopefully she won't be like my other 'friends' and turn on me.'

"Your stories are really great Carmin! Have you ever thought about being an author?" Ricca asks, tilting her head to the side.

Chuckling, I reply, "Yeah, I have actually. I even have a couple of colleges picked out that have great writing programs. The problem is my Dad. He and my Mom wanted me to do something that makes big money. I was never really interested in that though. I want to do something I enjoy, not something that makes big figures. I guess I'm just worried he'll get mad if I tell him I want to be an author. I haven't even told him that I write stories!"

Giving me a small, sympathetic smile, Ricca says, "I'm sorry to hear that, Carmin. Personally, I think you should do what you want. You're a really good writer, so I think it would be a good idea for you to be an author."

"Thanks Ricca. That really means alot to me. Would you like to help me write a different story sometime?"

Her eyes light up, and her face stretches into a large grin. "That would be awesome! I can't guarantee that I'll have anything good to add, especially compared to a genius like you," At this, we both laughed. "but I'll try my best!"

"Well, as long as it's your best." Laughing once again, I decide to ask her a question this time.

"So, Ricca, are you a single child, or do you have siblings?"

"I actually have an older brother. He's the reason why we decided to move here. He wanted to go to college in America, so we decided to move to America and make things easier for him. His name is Abel. Right now he's going to that big art university in Jerrisville."

"Wow, really? Isn't that university really hard to get into? He must have to be pretty smart in order to go there."

"Oh yea. He's like, freaky smart. I'm pretty sure he got a 4.0 all through high school. Plus he's a really good artist. I think that some of his work made it to the international level in a couple of competitions." 'Woah. That's really impressive.'

"Wow. I don't really know what to say to that. He sounds like a really talented person. Why isn't he staying here though? I mean, Jerrisville is only about an hour away."

"The university requires that all Freshmen live 'on campus'. His classes started not long after we bought the house, so he moved his extra stuff into his room here then went off to his dorm. He'll most likely be visiting on weekends, so just to warn you in case you meet him, he can be really rude at first. Most likely he'll brush you off and not talk to you, but once you get to know him he's a big teddy bear."

"A teddy bear?" Laughing, Ricca continues.

"Yea, a big cuddly teddy bear. Don't tell anyone I said that though, he'd kill me."

"Deal." Shaking hands, we continue on with our questions. Before we know it, it's almost midnight. "Wow. Three hours went by really fast." I say in surprise.

"Three hours?" Turning around to look at the clock on the wall, Ricca starts laughing. "I guess so. Like they say, 'time flies when you're having fun.'" Agreeing, we decide it's time to go to bed. The whole time we get ready to go to bed, we're pushing each other around and making jokes. It takes about half an hour just for us to brush our teeth and change into our P.J.s. Suddenly, Ricca grabs my sides. Jumping, I let out a yelp.

"Ricca! Don't do that!" Laughing, Ricca keeps tickling my sides. Eventually, we end up on the floor having a tickle fight. In a couple of minutes, we're both out of breath and have wrecked one wall of the fort. "I guess that's one less part to worry about in the morning." Nodding in agreement, Ricca and I make our way to the middle of the fort once again.

As our 'last hoorah' I guess you could say, we gathered all of the pillows off the floor and placed them in the middle of the fort. We then grabbed the blankets from the collapsed side and built a giant nest for us to sleep in. Even though we were all settled in, we ended up cracking jokes until about 1:30 in the morning. Ricca was the first to fall asleep, and I followed not long after. It really turned out to be an awesome night. Way better than the beginning of my week.
