Percy's POV

It was all fun and games. Annabeth and I were having fun, sparring, making out... everything a normal demigod does. We were playing a game where Annabeth had a sword and was blindfolded, and had to try to stab me. If she got close, I had to block the sword.

She did her job too well.

I missed the jab, and the sword cut through flesh. I felt a searing pain, and then everything went black.

Annabeth's POV

It killed me when I felt the sword go hilt deep in flesh. I called Chiron. He came running, and, upon seeing Percy half-dead, exclaimed, "What did you do?!" I sobbed, "We...we were playing a game... it was an accident..."

Chiron carried Percy into the infirmary. He was almost dead, and the sword was still inside his limp body. I cried. "It's not your fault. It was an accident." Chiron soothed. There were people following us at this point, wondering what was going on. Blood was everywhere. I was scared to death for Percy's life.

We walked into the infirmary. I poured a little bit of water on the wound, because water usually heals Percy. It helped, but not much. Suddenly an image of Poseidon appeared. An iris message! "Is Annabeth Chase here?" Poseidon asked angrily. "Yes," I said timidly. "I'm here."

"You have angered me. You hurt my son, I hurt you!" Poseidon yelled.

"I am sorry sir," I sobbed in dismay, "it was an accident, I swear on The River Styx!"

"I will make a deal with you. If Percy dies, you will be punished. However, if he survives, and agrees with you, you will be forgiven. Deal?" Poseidon said.

Chron nodded at me. "Yes, sir. I swear on the River Styx."

He waved his hand through the iris message and hung up.

While I had been talking, Chiron had been crushing ambrosia and putting small amounts in Percy's mouth. He then poured just below the amount of nectar that would hurt you. The wound was healing, but slowly. I curled up in a corner and cried softly. After an hour or so, I heard a voice that I thought I would never hear again.

"Where's... Annabeth?" Percy croaked.

"I'm here, Percy." I began sobbing, in fear of how mad he would be.

"C'mere." Percy moaned.

I walked slowly over to the bed.

I cried. "I'm sorry Percy, it was an accident, I didn't know, was afraid you were dead, and it was my fault, and-"

He shut me up with a kiss.

"Forgiven." He whispered against my lips.
