At Least Consider

Percy POV

When I woke up, Annabeth was still asleep. I grabbed a piece of paper and scribbled a note.

Annabeth-

I'm so sorry about the events of yesterday. I woke up early to talk to my dad. I understand that you hate me, but please give me a second chance. I swear I won't mess up.

-Your (ex?) boyfriend, Percy

I was crying by the end of the note. I put it on her chest, wiped away my tears, and went to find Poseidon. I ran down to the beach and dove into the ocean. Poseidon should be preparing for Annabeth's second day of punishment.

I was right. I found my father in the punishment room of his palace, setting up screens around the room. "Father."

"Yes? Oh, Percy! Good to see you again. What brings you to my palace?" he said cheerfully.

"I don't want you to punish Annabeth anymore." I said quickly.

"Now, why would you want that, son? She almost killed you!" Poseidon said loudly.

"She hates me now! I can't talk to her anymore, she just pushes me away! We've been through so much together, and for us to break up after a simple accident-"

"An accident that could have killed you!" he interrupted.

I choked back a sob. "Please."

"You are my favorite son..."

"Please, at least consider it." I said as I walked away. I was fairly close to suicidal at that point. If something didn't happen soon, I might've used Riptide in the wrong way.

Annabeth POV

I woke up and found the note. Truth be told, I miss him too, but I need to keep up my resolve. I have to hate him, because he doubted me. He thought I hurt him on purpose. This serves as my revenge.

3 hours later

I was in the Poseidon cabin packing up my stuff to move out when I heard heavy breathing and footsteps. I quickly dove under one of the empty bunks. Percy walked in. He saw that I'd been packing my stuff, and a lone tear escaped his eye. I almost wanted to come out from my hiding place. He saw that I wasn't there, scribbled a note for me, and left, probably to go to my bunk in the Athena cabin. I waited a few seconds and followed him. When he left the Athena cabin, I walked in and picked up the note.

Wise Girl-

I talked to my dad. He said he would consider stopping your punishment, which is better than nothing, right? Anyway, as I said in the last note, I really want to make it up to you. Please just tell me.

I also noticed you were moving out. I would rather you stay, as I rather dislike nightmares, but it's your choice, I guess.

-Seaweed Brain, or Perseus if you'd rather use that.

There were teardrops on the note.
