Chris

"The funeral date will be tomorrow, Mr. Brown." The funeral home director informed me. A'Jahnae and A'Jaiziea were both sobbing next to me. I nodded at him rubbing both of their backs.

"Thank you very much for all of your help, sir. I don't think they would like to see view the body before the funeral, but A'Jahnae and A'Jaiziea told me what they wanted and so I can view the body now while they're in here." I sighed, kissing A'Jahnae's cheek standing up. Another man came in and led me to a room. In an open casket, lay Kim's body.

Her makeup was done perfectly. Instead of the vibrant presence she once had, all I saw was a cold, lifeless body. She had a halo of blood red roses around her black hair.

"I love you, Kim." I took a deep breath, before walking out.

I strode back to the room where A'Jahnae and A'Jaiziea were.

"Come on, y'all, let's go get something to eat." I helped them up. They wiped their faces and walked out with me. I helped both of them into the car and I drove off to McDonald's.

"What do y'all want?" I asked. Both of them were silent and looked out their windows. I figured that would happen, so I ended up just buying them fries and a Sprite. I got myself a Bacon Clubhouse meal.

I sped off, and headed for Trey's house. I needed to talk to him for a little bit about what's been going on. N'Aejah's birthday was today and we had to make our way over to my mom's house afterwards, where she spent the night.

"Wassup, Chris?" Trey gave me some dap. I helped Nae into the house and sat her down on the couch.

"Trey, lemme speak to you in the kitchen, man." I nodded towards the kitchen. Trey nodded and went in there behind me.

"How did it go at the funeral home?" Trey questioned. "How did AJ take everything?"

"She was good, she was good. You know my son was shot right?" Trey shook his head no.

"When was this? I'm sorry about that, is he goin' to be alright?"

"I'm sure she is, but I do not want AJ finding out. If she finds out, then so will Amory. I and Jamira thought it through, and we don't think he will be in the hospital for that much longer. If Amory doesn't know, she won't put stress on the baby." I explained with a sigh.

"Amory is 'Kari's baby mama, I mean, I think she should know. She's been asking where Jakari has been."

"We want to keep her clueless. We had a private ambulance come take him to the hospital so that the media would not find out. We just want her to focus on the baby, she already thinks that Jakari won't help out, which he will."

"Alright, you are the baby's grandfather so you and Jamira decide what's best. I just don't want Amory getting hurt."

"She won't." I shook my head pouring myself a glass of lemonade from their refrigerator. "Well, like I was saying, I know who had something to do with my son getting shot."

"Who?" Trey asked.

"Desire." Trey's eyes widened. "Nae attempted to try and settle it herself, but nah, I want to end it. For good, this time."
