CHAPTER 4

I got up from the comfort of my bed and walked over to my cupboard and got out a pair of black tight jeans and a plain v-neck t-shirt. I didn't know how it would look with my new “hairstyle “but I didn't really care. I walked into the bathroom to see if I even looked half decent, which, I didn't.

My eyes were as red as a tomato and as bloodshot as I have ever seen them. My hair was terrible. End of story. It didn't match what I was wearing at all.

I looked like a mess. A broken mess.

I sighed and walked out and slipped on a pair on Converse and went and grabbed my phone and texted Liam the details of the current situation and to meet me at Starbucks. Even though I didn't want to go out at all, I had to. For Louis and the band. Even though I didn’t know what they were going to think of my hair.

Soon I got a message from Liam. “OK I will meet you there soon so we can talk, see you soon – Liam :) xx”. I smiled slightly at how caring Liam was. Although I know that smile is going to go away soon. I thought to myself, making me even sadder.  Ok, I really have to stop thinking.

I walked out the door and got in my car and lazily turned the ignition on. I rolled down the drive way and slowly drove to the small Starbucks near my house, praying that people didn't notice my hair. Even though I'm sure they would.

I turned on the radio and “End of the Road” By Boyz 2 Men came on.  “We belong together, and I know that I've cried “, well no shit Sherlock, of course I've been crying. I ignored the rest of the song until it came to the chorus.

And now we've come, to the end of the road, and I can’t let go, its unnatural, you belong to me, I belong to you”   I felt the tears well up in my eyes but I quickly pushed them back as the song continued. “And now we've come, to the end of the road, and I can’t let go, oooh, its unnatural, oooh, you belong to me, I belong to yoouu. Gone”. I sighed shakily and concentrated on the road.

I parked the car right in front of the coffee shop and waited only a few minutes for Liam to arrive. Liam got out of his car and ran over to my car smiling like an idiot; I smiled weakly back at him. He clearly didn't notice my hair just yet.

He soon slowed his running pace as a shocked expression covered his body from head to toe. I knew this was coming, I thought to myself remaining calm. “Harry?” He whispered looking directly in my blood shot eyes. I nodded slowly as he stepped closer reaching his hand out to touch my now straight hair.

He gasped and stepped back. “Why... You... What... Why did you cut off your... Cu-curls?” He said softly chocking out the last word.” It’s a long story Liam” I answered, my voice raspy from the crying I had endured from the last night. He calmed himself slightly.

“How ‘bout we go get some coffee and talk? It might make you feel better.” He said, obviously realizing I was upset, and smiled slightly. I nodded and we both walked in to the famous coffee shop. More like a lot of coffee.

The smell of freshly brewed coffee beans filled my senses as we went and took a seat in the furthest corner from the front door. Liam gave me his hoodie so I could cover up my hair, and I willing accepted the offer.

I pulled on the hoodie and pulled the hood over my head just enough as the waiter came over and asked what we would like to order. “Um, just two large cappuccinos and two large serves of banana-breads thanks,” Liam said smiling at the waitress. “Ok, I’ll be back with your orders shortly,” she said, and went off to fill the order.
