Chapter 7

So I searched all around the room but didn't see him. But then the music stopped and the lights went on stage, and it was him. It was COBBY. I was soo scared for him. I thought it would be a flop. Then I heard the tune for Stay by Rihanna being played on the piano. When I checked, Cobby was the one on the piano. He started to sing and I actually wanted to cry.

I was just laughing and smiling as if I had just been infected with a happy disease. Then after he was done, he said, 'This is for you, Ellie." I was soo happy and he came to me. A bit scared, all I did was to hug him real tight and said, 'Cobby, that was cute." He hugged back so we were hugging for about 1 minute. The room continued to party with Work by Rihanna and Drake. You can only imagine what was happening. The place was actually hot though the Air conditioner was on. Cobby told me that he had to go, because he had some sort of curfew which he set for himself.

Who sets curfews for themselves?

If not, he would have to put up with his friends who smoke and drink too much. Which, to make it simple, liked to get wasted. I escorted him out and we exchanged contacts. When I checked his car, it was a red Elantra car. I was shocked that he was actually driving in a country like Ghana. He didn't look like a 16 year old boy though. When I entered, I checked the time and it was 10 minutes to midnight. So I told the Dj to stop the music and took the microphone and said, "sorry, party's over. Stop the music! "

So they all left and the place was messed up. So we decided to hire a househelp tomorrow. So Chrissy and I went over to her room to talk. And when we got to the door, she said, ''Get in and tell me everything ". I couldn't do anything but smile. She says everything as if Cobby and I had sex or something silly like that, and I have to give her the details. When I got on the bed, I jumped and took off my shoes and the crop top. So currently, I am in bra and black highwaisted jeans. I have a big butt but I am not fat. I weigh 50kg. It's actually not bad at all.

So I narrated all that happened and she was actually happy. Saying that I have been introduced into her type of world. I actually felt guilty but tried not to show it. I asked what happened between her and Jed, she said, "Well, I went up to him and started telling him past events that proved that I liked him, before I said I love you, he told me I love you and shut me up with a kiss." It was actually cute. Thinking it over.
After about 10minutes, I went to my room and switched on the AC and changed to my night gown. It was a white dress white short inner. I laid down and tried to sleep, but when I close my eyes, all I see is what happened between Cobby and I this evening. Then I heard a beep from my phone and checked it out. It was an anonymous number so I asked who it was.

And the reply was, stay with me. And I knew that it was Cobby. It was 3:00am like why isn't he sleeping. He asked me why I wasn't sleeping. And I told him I was bored, and he said so am I. He then told me to check under my bed, when I checked, it was a small pendrive. He asked me to remove the memory card from it and put it in my phone. When it was fully well positioned, I saw Lol 1,lol2 and lol till it got to number 20. So I pressed lol 1. And it was Cobby singing. He has an awesome voice. One that can cure sleeplessnelss. I thanked him so much and he said, ''You do know you don't have to thank people too much. Once or twice is enough."

I laughed and wished him a good dawn rest. When I dropped the call, the songs he sang made me sleep. Later that day, when I checked the calender, it was 15th February meaning two days to my birthday. I was surprised that I didn't know. I got up at 12:00pm. I was soo tired. When I was done with everything, I had a message from Cobby reading,

Lunch?

I replied, Sure!

I left a note on Christina's bed and left to walk to the nearest mall. When I went out, I took my headset and was playing the songs that I received from him. When I came out, Cobby was already there. I asked, " Cobby, when did you get here? "
He replied, "even before I sent you the message" and he ended with a smile. ''Aren't you getting in?" "No Cobby, I will just walk, I want to walk." The truth was, I couldn't just enter somebody's car without really knowing the person, I wasn't exactly trained like that. What if he kidnaps me, or rapes me, or something bad like that. After this, I started walking and he was following me by my side, he said,"I will walk with you then. I know you want to enter. Why are you trying to ignore me? I know that you are stuck between walking or sitting by the one who sang for you. Nice outfit though, simple but nice". That was when I realised I didn't know what I wore. When I looked at myself, I was wearing a simple black top and jeans with flats. I rolled my eyes and looked at him, ''Fine, I will."
