He came close to me and whispered, "hi there." I nodded in my form of greeting and smiled at him. Then I placed my head on the counter, I felt as the stars and the moon were swinging in my head. "Are you okay? You don't look okay", this mysterious guy asked. " Neither do you." I said and laughed really hard. See a pot calling a kettle black.
"I'm used to this, you look new to this", he said with ease. Who else says this, yeah it's Terrance, he normally says this. "Yeah, this is my first time, I need to get over someone tonight." "Want any help?", he asked concerned. I nodded and he smiled.
I then slowly raised my head off the counter and properly sat, my eyes still a bit blurry. "One more shot please", this guy asked and I rose my hand up "no no no no no more shots please. I'll float if I take any more. I'm good." "I'm in charge here ma'am.
Allow me to help you to forget this person." he said passing my glass over to the bartender. "You're right, I'll take it." This joy suddenly filled my body, I was ready to do a competition. This guy made me want to do more, he made me feel like I was competing with someone. It was filled to the brim and we both held it up, "on the count of three", we both said " three, two, one" and took the shot. "Whoaaaa! I feel different. I feel like my body can't do anything, I feel tipsy, I want to do something, anything, let's go to the dance floor." I said in a melodious way.
"Are you sure you want to do this? On the real?" "Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Ye-" I kept on exclaiming and he carried me to the dance floor. When he gently put me down, I felt like a princess and gently stood on the floor.
He then brought me close to him and raised my hand so that our fingers intertwined and we were dancing, totally contrary to the song that was being played, our moves were not even in sync with the song that was playing. We were literally in our own world, we were heading classical while Hip Hop was being played. His arms felt familiar, his smell was familiar, maybe I was just hallucinating, I thought.
He spun me around and caught me and we danced and danced and danced. While we were dancing, he would whisper something in my ear and we would laugh and smile and all. It was a very very good time. This guy was divine. I was so peaceful when I was with him. I don't know if it was the alcohol or him, but whatever it was, I enjoyed it.
When we were done, I asked him to carry me at his back and he did. He bent down and I jumped unto his back nearly making him fall down but he held me and pushed back up. And we moved to where we got up from. He placed me on the chair and sat on his. He looked a bit drunk but not too drunk, as he said, he was used to it.
He started playing with my hair that was now a bit messy and trying to straighten it. I was playing with his beard and pulling it in between and he'll scream lowly and laugh. He re-tied my hair properly and removed something which looked like a tie or something and wrapped around my hair. I wanted more shots, so i asked for extra three cups. This person tried to stop me saying it'll be too much for me, I still wanted it anyways so I took it.
I placed my head on the counter and we decided to engage in a real conversation. "So what's your name?" he asked smiling a little, " I'm Ellie, my name is Ellie." "Oh that's a nice name. Ellie Ellie, that's a really nice name. I'm Trey. "
"Trey, that's also a nice name, Trey, Prey, Slay, loool." I said spelling the loool.I was too tired to laugh. Then it occurred to me, "wait Trey as in Trey Wood. Is that your name?"
"Yeah, how did you know? And you're who? Wait no way!!- You're Ellie? As in Ellie, the Ellie I know?""You fucking pig, you swine, I knew it was you, your smell, the way you spoke, like everything about you just made me know it was you. Just when I thought I was going to fall in love again. Why did you have to come again? Why are you mentally torturing me like this? Can't you leave me alone." I said sobbing quietly.
