Nyal James-"Take me home." I frowned looking to the door of my sisters hotel room after hearing her voice. It no longer sounded as though anger was tearing through her veins but. . I don't know, something was up.
"What?" I laughed it off, lowering the volume of the television as Jai sat with earphones in watching Netflix on my laptop.
"Did I fucking stutter?" She snapped and I knew something had happened at this point. She picked up a bag from below the coat rack and unzipped it in her hands. "Take me home Nyal."
"B-but we don't leave till tomorrow. . you know that right?" I pulled the bag easily from her hands, partially afraid that I was playing with fire right now.
"We aren't. We are going tonight. We are going to see dad, and Alex, and if I don't get on that plane tonight then I'll drive from here to Palmdale myself. Got it." She snatched the luggage bag off of me and I noticed it was filled with her wrestling clothes.
Not for long. She dumped them on the small dinner table and took off to her bedroom, notifying Jai as she slammed her door in utter anger. I flinched at the sound, so late at night we'd get noise complaints. . how does my sister survive alone?
"Holy fuck, what's happened now?" My best friend sighed standing up after shutting my laptop. I ran my hands through my hair in frustration with a prolonged breath.
"Something." I sighed not knowing what was running through my own sisters mind right now. Partially it had something to do with Jai being here, but she was a different type of angry. I'd never seen her so demanding and hectic.
"She wants to go home."
"Well we leave tomorrow, can't she just wait one night, why's she so desperate?" Jai laughed but I knew already this was as serious as I'd ever seen Aurora.
"You know my sister, when you messed with her she was angry. . but the look in her eyes then, I've never seen it. . and I'm twenty-eight. There's something wrong. Drastically wrong. She only left fifteen minutes ago and she comes back looking like she's about to burst with anger."
"It's just Aurora being Aurora." Jai sighed brushing it off but I wasn't so sure. .
Just as he sat back down to ignore our family drama, she came from her room. Wearing a coat, trainers and a hat, she held the luggage hold-all in hand with seemingly a piece of clothing sticking out of it. I looked her up and down and she glared at me as though I was scum.
"Why haven't you got your coat on you idiot? We are leaving. We are getting the next flight to LAX and you're taking me home." She spat throwing a coat at me that wasn't even mine.
I love her, but I've had enough, there's no way to change the flight, she's being irrational. She used to have fits like this when she was around nine, because mum and the family happenings and all. Alex said that she couldn't deal with loss and heartbreak because she was so young, after a while, they wore away, as she grew and mum's death fell further away after the wakes and thanks had died down.
I needed to call Alexander.
I pulled my cell from my back pocket as Aurora rooted around the kitchen smacking cups against one and other and other loud surfaces whilst I manically dialled for our brother and prayed that no one was staying either side of my sisters room.
"Hello?" He'd picked up, a sigh of relief left my lips.
"Holy Christ Alexander, thank god." I breathed pressing the phone to my ear in attempts to hear him over the noise our sister was making around the hotel room.
