I Miss You

I woke up the next morning right when the alarm went off. I was excited, of course, to get over with the school day. I jumped in the shower and started jamming to my music daydreaming about being there with the bands singing along. The first song to come on, ironically, was I Miss You by Blink 182. I sang along and for a moment, I could almost see myself singing to Joey. Hey, could you blame me? I mean, he is pretty cute. Anyways, as I finished up my shower I quickly got ready and made sure I looked decent. Once I was done I rushed downstairs to get my breakfast and then decided I couldn't look too eager to see Joey, that would make me look desperate. So, I finished up my bowl of Cheerios and slapped on my headphones once again. As I was putting in my shoes my phone began to vibrate in my pocket. It was Aunt Brenda.

"Hello?" I said in a questioning voice.

"Good you're awake." She said. "Just wanted to make sure you got up since neither of us were home this morning to get you up. Oh! And have fun with your friend today." She continued and, before letting me speak, said "try not to get into trouble today Sammi...I've got to go, bye." The phone beeped and the call was ended. 'Jeez I hate phone calls with her' I though to myself as I finished tying my shoes. I threw my backpack over my shoulder and walked out the door and to the bus stop.

My IPod shuffled between Blink, Green Day, Go Radio, and a mix of the rest of my music. There was a bit of a hop in my step as I walked to the stop. When it finally came into view my smile, and hop, quickly vanished. Jazz stood there almost as if waiting for me. I turned the music up louder and put on the song Take Back, of course by Green Day. I slowly approached the stop and made sure to ignore Jazz. When the bus began to pull up I realized that Joey took the same bus as me and as long as he didn't have a ride today, I would see him. I quickly texted Sara asking her if she would mind if I sat with him and she said she knew I would want to. One day and she could already read me like a book! The bus stopped and we began getting on. Jazz shoved her way in front of me and slowly walked to the back of the bus. I couldn't figure out why at first, but then I saw Joey. She swayed her hips and, in the most flirty voice ever, said "hey Joey, mind if I sit here?" Her shirt was cut low and she practically had her breasts hanging out as if to say 'let me sit with you cuz I'm a slut!' Joey spotted me and instantly smiled. He looked back up at Jazz (who thought the smile was for her) and said "Sorry but I'm saving this seat for someone." Jazz looked pissed and I giggled a bit knowing he meant me. I began to walk back towards Joey and tapped Jazz on the shoulder. "Excuse me but, I believe this is my seat." I said in the most polite manner ever. Jazz looked at Joey, then at me and said "you can't be serious Jo! Her!? You're sitting with her?" Joey looked indifferent and said "yeah. I am." I scooted her aside a bit and sat down next to Joey. Jazz sat down in the seat across the aisle from us so she could eavesdrop. Me and Joey knew this of course and he said "So Sammi, you're cool to hangout today right? Cuz my mom made me clean my room so you could come over so you better be coming over!" We both laughed and I told him I couldn't wait to hangout. Jazz looked pissed and we laughed even more.

Nothing really notable happened on the rest of the bus ride and when we got to school me and Sara departed Joey and Travis and headed to our lockers. "You're totally into Travis" I said oh so causally to Sara. She stopped in her tracks and said "I could say the same about you and Joey." We both looked at each other for a moment and then laughed. We were both falling for two amazing guys and we couldn't help but smile. Joey and me and Sara and Travis. It would be perfect. We just had to make it happen first! The bell rang and we headed to class both talking about the guy we were crushing on and laughing the whole way. This school was different. I loved it.
