The Interrogations
Well it was a big surprise after the interrogations began. The news came from CrazyGoose who researched it from a lot of old newspapers and gossip. The train was carrying gold disguised as Snicker Bars and it only rolled at night. Lean tried to get Steel Diamond and stannbear to confirm that but they were tough.
Lean got tougher and after a few good smacks, Diamond, sore from punches and bleeding, told her that they were planning on pinching the train's cargo and that it was not literally gold but Midnight Gold, a euphemism for cocopops. The drug was being trained east, wrapped as Snicker Bars and sold at a tremendous profit. Cadmus Croc planned on cutting out the competition and taking over the operation. Satisfied, and tired of grilling the prisoners, Lean quit, figuring she had all they knew. Hunter was not pleased and he let her know. he also told her that her father was hiding somewhere in Busted Gulch. When Diamond and stannbear left, they were met by Cadmus, and Lean witnessed an affectionate kiss between he and Diamond. She told CrazyGoose and 3Gun.
3Gun braced stannbear and discovered that Diamond was his aunt, leaving 3Gun totally confused. He went back to the saloon and pestered Hunter for something decent to drink besides lemonade. He pondered the news Lean told them about her dad and he began to put an idea together. Alister had been forced run whiskey to the KitKats a long time ago to keep their supply of chocohol secure. After Carob Bob had to get out of town and the KitKats all dispersed, somebody else took over the manufacture of the product. 3Gun had suspected it might be Alister. If he was hiding in the Gulch it would have been the perfect set up for making and transporting Midnight Gold.
3Gun did not know quite how Hunter fit in the picture and never found out anything except lemonade was all he had in stock. 3Gun had to tell Lean but he did not know how.
