Just before the stage bearing Alister arrived, another visitor hit Busted Gulch, wrapped in an air of confident mystery. Her name was Myna Darkly, a self proclaimed, southern belle. Seemed to be a long way from her roots and asked some very unsettling questions about witches and hexes. Sheriff 3Gun spoke with her but really learned very little other than the fact she was going to hang around, taking a room in the hotel, professing an interest in the sights.
Gun made it clear the town did not take well to strangers that came to meddle or stir up trouble and suggested she explain exactly what her business there might be. meanwhile, he had to deal with Alister and he greeted him when he got off the stage.

Alister introduced Galina Diamond and 3Gun allowed as how he knew who she was. There was a few awkward moments as he explained to Alister how he knew and then invited them both to the saloon for a drink and a talk they needed to have.

Alister was stricken after hearing the news about Lean. They sat for a long time going over the details and consuming a little more drink than planned. When Alister seemed more under control, 3Gun offered to take them to the gravesite in the meadow and when they arrived, Alister broke down again over the beautiful spot and the monument to her memory.

3Gun moved away and left the couple alone to grieve, waiting until they were finished before bringing up the matter of the deed and the massive gold vein on the property beneath his old home. Once again, Alister was stunned. This time to learn that all the time he had been mixed up with Croc, Hunter and the drugs, he was sitting on a gold mine . . . literally. Galina's eyes lit up up like a sunrise and 3Gun imagined trouble not far off.
