Chapter 15

"Lil, are you gunna be ok?" Ams asked as we sat in my room discussing what we were going to do for prom that was in a few days.

"Um, yeah. I'm fine." I replied as I slipped on my shoes and we headed off to breakfast.

We sat and talked while we ate, as usual and a silence fell over the rest of the cafeteria. I looked up from my plate to see Brittany and her crew walking into the cafeteria. The only difference was Jay who was now on Brittany's left side.

"I guess someone got demoted." Manda renarked.

I glared at her before getting up from the table and heading to my class early. Not soon after Amy and Jake came in and sat on either side of me.

"I'm fine." I said before either of them could utter a word.

"Lil, you're not. We can all see it." Amy said giving me a hug.

"I am, really. I'm sure there was a reason she's with Brittany. I mean she couldn't hang with her of her own free will." I replied trying to calm myself down because I was getting worked up.

At that moment Mrs.Snow walked into the class.

"Is it ok if Lilly and I get excused for the rest of the day?" Amy asked.

"Of course you may." Mrs.Snow said handing us a paper.

"Thank you." We both said as we walked passed her and out of the door.

"Why did you do that? I'm perfectly fine." I aksed once we were out of earshot.

"Lil, you're freaking out inside. Let's just go out and relax, and get your mind off of things. Prom is coming up in a few days so why don't we get treated and when the girls are out we all go shopping for dresses." She said.

"Ok, I guess." I replied following her out the doors.

We spent the rest of the school day going to the spa and getting facials and massages, she even talked me into getting acupuncture because she said I was too stressed out. Once we left I had to say I was feeling more relaxed than ever. We headed back to campus and when we got there the final bell had just rang. And all of us girls met up in my room and decided that we needed to go dress shopping for prom which was now two days away. We all changed into regular clothes before heading out to the parking lot and hopping into our cars.

The first place we went to was the mall and went straight to Windsor's. We were looking through all the dresses and I couldn't find one that caught my eye. I heard a squeal followed by another and we all looked up to see Amy and Savannah coming out of the dressing room and the dresses they found and were getting if the squeals were a sign. Amy's was a pretty powder pink with a puffy tulle bottom, Lace fabric at the top, Strapless with a sweetheart neckline, two tier skirt, and gemstone details around the top.

Savannah's dress was pink with hints of peach and yellow. It also had a slightly puffy tulle bottom, beaded waistband with an a-line. They both looked stunning in their dresses and all us girls gave them our thumbs up. I was looking along the racks and saw a pretty blue dress that Jay would love. It was all ruffled and scrunched up at the bottom and was in some sort of folded cross design around the waist. Jay would like it, I mean it was simple but I knew she could dress it up and pull it off.

"Next store. I can't find anything." Dess said.

"Ditto." I added heading to the door.

Amy and Savannah paid for their dresses and we headed off to Dillard's. Dess was the first to find her dress, it was a almost plum purple with jewels all over the bust area. It had a slightly lighter purple and had a silk chiffon bottom. It was very pretty although she would've gotten it in yellow but it didn't look right. Kay was next. Her dress was cream and black, it had a black ruffle tulle bottom and had a cream and black almost floral print at the top, with a oversized cream bow around the waist line. Both of their dresses were strapless and had a sweetheart neckline.
