When i was outside the door to the office, I got a shiver down my spine. I opened the door and walked into the chilly office. Right away, I was greeted by Ms.Wagner, the grumpy secretary, who I never actually see doing any office duties. "Hi, uhh.. I'm here to see Ms.Capulet. I'm Oli-" Ms.Wagner interrupted me , "Yes I know who you are, She's waiting for you" I stood there, raised my eyebrow slightly at her, and she gave me the same look. " I'm sorry Ms.Carter, but I recall asking you for your hall pass, not attitude." Wow. I fixed my expression, and walked into Capulet's office.
"You wanted to see me?"
I walked up next to her desk, she just smiled and handed me a folder. I opened it and saw my current transcript. 6 A+'s, ofcourse, one for each class. I looked at her with a confused expression, and then she returned the expression. " This is your transcript, your mom said to give it to you by the end of the day. I know it's kind of late, with you moving tomorrow morning and every thing, but this is the first chance I've had to finish it".What.
What was she talking about?
Moving?
Me?
Does she have me confused?
I laughed. "I'm sorry Ms.Capulet but it seems my mom is playing with you and told you to give me this. I'm definitely not moving, so I'm sorry for wasting your time.". she gave me a look, I knew that look, I knew it all to well, the look of pity. I have received it alot, whether it be from a teacher when I'm told that I have to tutor a delinquent bad boy or from Amanda, who tries with no success to throw me an actually birthday party. It never works out, so we end up in a McDonalds drive thru, and have shown up at precisely 10pm every May 18 for the past 4 years now. "Ms. Carter, I know this may come as a shock to you, because I was sworn to secresy, but you are indeed moving.".
I haven't been more confused in my whole life. "Ok Ms.Capulet, let us say hypothetically speaking ofcourse, that I am moving. Where did my mom tell you we were going?". Ms.Capulet looked around her messy pile of papers that she had on her desk and found a pink post-it that was crumpled, with the edges bent and looked to be one bend away from wripping off. " Well, Olivia, according to this slip your mother gave the school, you will be moving to... Los Angeles, California".Someone pinch me
No, someone pinch her
I don't care who gets pinched, but under no circumstances was I, boring little Liv, moving to L.A
