"Alec,  come down here please.", my mum called from downstairs. "Coming mum," I called back before making my way down the stairs. I walked into the kitchen and found my mum standing in front of the refrigerator, getting out a Diet Coke and a Twinkie, because yes, she does believe Twinkie's taste better cold. She made her way to the table as I made my way to the cupboard, grabbing a water and heading to the fridge to get an apple, and I know what you're thinking, yes I prefer my fruit cold, it runs in the family.
"Would you mind going down to the clinic. I'm afraid I'm all out of my medicine capsules and I needed Dr.Brooksten to prescribe me some more. My migraines have been acting up lately.".

Yes, my mum is sick, and no, she won't heal.
When my mum was 25, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, and they told her she only had a couple of years left to live. My mum had just graduated college, she had attended Harvard University and majored in education. The way she looked at it, she wanted to change other peoples lives so they can be inspired to go and change the lives of others.
When my mom heard the news about her disease, she decided not to pursue her dream of being a teacher, she thought what's the point if I'm just going to die anyways. She got a job at the local library and spends her time checking out books and placing them back on shelves, yep, she's living the Dream.

"Of course.", I said as I walked over to her, taking the Diet Coke and Twinkie from her hand and replacing it with the water and the apple. "Oh come on love, just the Twinkie, please Alec.", she whined like a little girl. "No mum, Dr.Brooksten said you should be eating healthier because it's better for you. Now, I'll run to the pharmacy and be back in a jiffy, promise not to die while I'm gone.", yes we have a sick sense of humor. "I promise.", she said as she gave me a kiss goodbye, then she snatched the Twinkie from my hand and ran up the stairs as fast as her petite little legs can take her.

When I got to the clinic, I walked very quietly to the medicine counter and asked for the medicine. I got the medicine, payed for it and began calmly walking away when I was stopped by a hand touching my shoulder. I sighed, I knew it was too easy, how could I have thought I could walk in and out of here without running  into her. I turned around, and hey, to my surprise, I saw none other than- " Well hello there Alec, would you mind helping me with something in my office, I can't seem to reach some boxes I must've stored on top of my cabinets.".
Dr. Genevieve Brooksten
A.K.A my mums doctor
A.K.A the youngest doctor in all of Los Angeles(She's twenty six)
A.K.A the doctor that makes me bang her in exchange for not charging me for my moms meds.

Ok, let me stop right there, I know what you're thinking, no I'm not into it, no I'm not a victim of rape or anything either. It's a simple matter of "give and take". If I bang Brooksten, she let's me keep what I would've handed over for the meds, which is very essential because I'm saving up money to buy me and my mum tickets to Las Vegas since she has always wanted to go. Yes I know Las Vegas isn't far, but I don't feel like driving six hours only to get a shitty hotel room, I'm saving up for two first class tickets and two rooms at the Excalibur Hotel, all the way on top of the highest tower.

After about 20 minutes I walked out of the clinic, hopped onto my motorcycle and began to head home with the meds.
I rushed home so my mom could take her meds, going faster than usual. I turned the corner and saw a girl standing there, she was taking pictures like a fucking loon, so what did I do, I kept going and hoped she would move herself out of the way. But of course, the chick didn't. She fell down and looked up at me, I couldn't read her the way I did with the girls at school, and it was pissing me off. I walked over to her, got real close, and picked up my glasses . She gave me a confused look, did she expect me to pick her up? What a twit.
"Next time watch where you stand you muppet, it's a public sidewalk not your own photography studio.", I said to her before I drove off. I drove for a few seconds before turning back only to see her gone.
I don't know who she is, and I couldn't care less, but she made me want to encounter her again.
Shit.
