Chapter 6

Alex POV

I wake the next morning with Liam's head in my lap. I pick up his head gently, move out from under him, grab a pillow, place it under his head, place his head down, then leave for my room. I'm passing Niall's door when it opens and someone grabs me and pulls me in covering my mouth. I go on alert alpha mode and grab the persons hand swinging them over my shoulder and they land with a thud. I should have guessed it was Niall, but hey when your mouth is covered you get freaked out.

"Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry Niall. You just scared me." I say while picking him up off the floor.

"No, I guess I should have just asked to talk to you instead of appearing out of no where." I giggle and nod.

"Okay so what's up? I mean why did you call me or grab me in here?"I say smiling.

"Oh, I wanted to tell you something. I-I; I like y-you." He says stuttering. My smile fades. I stare at him, face blank.

"Oh, uh, okay. I uh got to go. I'll talk to you later." I say giving an obvious fake smile. I walk toward the door when Niall catches my hand.

"No please, I'm sorry if I freaked you out or something, I just, I just wanted to let you know." He says still holding my hand.

"Niall, I appreciate your interest in me, but I'm just your bodyguard. Nothing more nothing less." I say a little more harsh then I would have liked.

"No you are more then a body guard you are a friend." He says with sympathy written on his face.

"No, it's okay Niall but I'm just doing my job and I really don't think it's good for either one of is to date each other. It would be a mess if anyone found out and trust me I'm not the girl for yo-" I'm cut off when Niall pushes his lips into mine passionately. I don't kiss back. When he pulls away, I'm relived until he grabs my face in both his hands and pulls me in again but more demanding. He won't stop. Eventually I give in. I start to kiss back and his hand leaves my cheek and grabs my neck pulling me closer. Our lips move in sync. I suddenly get a mind link from Eric.

"Alex, Jason is coming with an army we need you! Now!" I pull away.

"Niall, I have to go there is trouble at the boarder. Jason is crossing and I have to fight him off."

"I want to come." He says as I turn to leave.

"No it's too dangerous." I say flatly. I run to my room and change fast in my shapeshifter speed and when I get downstairs I notice the boys changed and ready to go somewhere. I sigh.

"If your coming stay in the trees around the field where the fight is going to be held. I mean climb in the tree not hiding behind it. Being a wolf shapeshifter means we can't climb trees. Got it?" They smile and nod. I hear my pack running to me door so I open it and there stands my pack. Teenage boys in jean shorts and nothing else. I on the other hand am wearing shorts and a sports bra with an undershirt. I nod and they all turn into their wolf. I do the same then motion for the boys to climb on. They do. With that I take off running into the trees. I reach the border line and drop off the boys by a great pine that I know they can climb and still see the fight.
