Chapter 14

Alex's POV

I hated myself but I had to do it. I asked Adam to pretend to be my mate so that Liam and Niall would become friends and forget me. I'm not sure if it helped but I'll find out right now. It was 8:00 in the morning and I was taking the boys for their rehearsal for their concert tonight. I headed downstairs and found Harry and Louis playing video games, Zayn on his phone, Liam sitting in a recliner and Niall of course eating.

"I'm going into another battle, I won't be back later." I say.

"What! Why won't you be coming back?" Louis asks.

"It's been three days. I haven't found my mate so, nice knowing you." I walk toward the door but Liam's voice stops me.

"What do you mean you haven't found your mate? You were making out with him last night!" He screams.

"No that was Adam my beta. I asked him to say it so that you and Niall would forget me! And since you haven't it's no use! I give up! You two are friends and your pissed at each other because of some girl?! Seriously forget me!" I scream getting angry.

"We are coming." Harry says standing up.

"No your not you have rehearsal. You get your limo this time so that I can take care of what has to be done." I say taking one last glace at each of them. "It really was nice knowing you all but Jason was very clear, three days to find my mate, I haven't, and no matter how many times I kill Jason he always finds some way to come back. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm sorry." I'm looking at Niall and Liam.

"Alex, we're sorry but...please...don't go...don't loose hope. W-We can find a way." Niall says pleading. His eyes getting watery.

"I'm sorry Niall. I just can't go on fighting a battle I know I'm going to loose. You turning yourself didn't help."

"What! You turned into what she is?" Harry screams. Niall looks at his feet, then Harry, then me.

"Yes. I did. I want to be with Alex. She is my mate. My wolf is making it pretty clear."

"Yes then I go to Jason and say "Hey found my mate so get your mother fucking ass out of here." He isn't exactly going to be happy about that. But it's worth a try. You guys are to stay in the trees and don't come down until I say so. Clear?"

"Clear." They all say in unison.
