Chapter 10

Niall's POV

I admit I was a little pissed that Liam was with Alex alone. I really loved her. She didn't come in after Liam like I was hoping. Its 12:00 pm. The boys went to bed. Its just me waiting for Alex. I check the time. 12:30. 'Ugh, where is she?' I ask myself. Soon I hear the front door creak open. Alex comes in. The lights are off but she stills know I'm there. I know cause I hear her smirk.

"Niall..."

"Yes Alex?" I say trying to sound innocent.

"What are you doing still up? You should be resting."

"I wanted to make sure you came home safely. I-I was worried about you." Damn stuttering.

"Niall, I can assure you, I'm fine. After all a shapeshifter can take care of herself." She says laughing lightly.

"I know you can, but what if I don't want you to take care of yourself? Would you let me take care of you?" I can't see her face in the moonlight so I don't know what to think.

"Niall, your a really sweet guy but, I can't be with you-"

"NO! Please don't say that. It hurts just thinking about it. Hearing it only hurts more." I start to have tears running down my eyes. Then I'm kind of shocked at what Alex does next. She kisses me.

"I'm sorry Niall. Please go to sleep."

"Not without you near me."

"Alright."

We walk up to my room.

"Alex?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm scared."

"Of what?"

"Everything. You fighting alone, you always out late, you not with me."

"Niall come here." she lead me to her room and patted the empty spot next to her on the bed. I rested my head in her lap.

"Quiet you're heart. It's just a dream. Go back to sleep. I'll be right here. Ill stay awake. As long as you need me to slay all the dragons and keep out the monsters. I'm watching over you. My love is a light, driving away, all of your fears. So don't be afraid, remember I made, a promise to keep you safe." As soon as she finishes singing that. I was out like a light.
